Think about all of the amazing infection maps that you could make on a map like this. I think some of the buildings should have multiple floors, like maybe a 3-5 floor office building you could defend the roof of in an objective game.
Indeed. Imagine a city map, which has a high skyline, and a lot of ground to use. Then, add Hornets to the mix.

I think we'd have a winner.

Member of team Master Theory.

17th Mythic Conqueror of Halo 3.
5th Mythic Conqueror of ODST.
If you would like to know more about Mythic difficulty please go to this thread. Thank you.

Please do not send me "recruitment messages" as I'm not interested in joining any groups currently.

I would have liked to have seen a city based map turn up somewhere In Halo 3's life cycle.
Obviously it hasn't happened so having 1 or two in Reach would add different environments and bring back memories for Halo 2 fans. As long as they don't go overboard and make everything a cutyscape I'd be happy, after all I do love Valhalla, Citadel and Sandbox as well in terms of visuals and would hate to lose out on the unique feel each map gives.

There is nothing wrong with Halo:Reach. We all just have our gripes about everything we don't like. Not liking something doesn't make it broken.

There was Longshore... But that isn't too city-like.

Agreed. I found Longshore to be a lot smaller then I would have hoped.

When I heard of it, I really expected to be a BTB map based around close-quarters. Instead it is a BTB based on Mob-Camping the two small buildings and bum rushing Invis.

It would just be nice to have a LARGE multi-floor building.

A little off topic, but tell me what you all think of this:

I am a huge fan of Forge and thus enjoy having maps I can have a large impact on. But, alas, I stink at building...well...buildings.

Could you imagine a two/three maybe even four floor building that works similar to Sandbox and Foundry? You would be able to delete everything on each floor.

There would be ample room to maneuver objects, these floors would be of good size. The map itself would be larger going up then it would going outwards.

You would even have the ability to spawn outside of the building in a sort of street/alleyway setup.

T'would be quite cool.

What would be even better was if you can kick down doors of breach doors! Many games, almost all games have many buildings but almost all you can't go in. I support this idea because I am annoyed that many games have buildings but building that you can't go in to.

Hn... I suppose it would be nice to actually be able to open every door.

That is a lot of stuff though, I mean, in Bungie's defense...that would take ages in some situations. Not to mention it would give people more places to hide.

In all honesty, i'd be happy for just a headlong remake. In the history of Halo, there were 2 main maps that were so perfect, that Bungie wass retarded for not giving them to us in Halo 3. Blood Gultch & Headlong. For Blood Gultch, we at leaast got Valhalla. But for Headlong fans, we got to eat -blam!-.

I am in 100% support of this idea. I think it'd give a more....varied style of play. You know, to get away from the map styles we had in Halo 3. Big open maps or closed-quarters maps. We need a bridge in the middle. And, I think, that can be achieved with city based maps.

That is the end of my announcement!

I want urban combat maps, like in Halo 2.

I support the Bridge idea 100 percent. There should also be some pieces of scenery like cranes and bulldozers, but the cranes could have a cable attatched supporting a steel girder accesible from a roof, a perfect place for sniping. Plenty of mounted turrets as well. I wound't mind seeing a Prowler on the map either....

Dyor' Docuree (2nd in command of the powerhouse, The Sangheili Army)

all I have to say is, although many people hate remakes including myself untill this, a remake of district would be awesome, especially since many people didn't buy halo 2 for vista so they would know about it :~)

I wants a remake of the Halo 2 map that has the train!!

Ooo that just put an awesome image in my head bungie should definitely put something like this in the game it would be awesome :)

How about some sniping.
Players can travel up a building and snipe off a balcony or rooftop.

in some of the buildings elevators!! that'd be awesome, lol run in being chased by enemies, gunshots flying every were, hit the elevator button (right bumper) the doors shut on the enemy then elevator music plays, its calming, you check your ammo, then theres a quiet 'ding' the doors open, the music stops and your back into battle as you charge the enemy bullets whizzing over your head yet again XD lmao

Yes yes yes, the fact that Halo 3 dosen't have a city based map which makes some machinima a little dissapointing. The only thing closest to a city map is probably Ghost Town, maybe last Resort, and Longshore. I say they should have at least 2 city maps in this game if anything.

Why are you reading my signature? Who actually opens these things and reads them!

And as always, SEND ME A PM. Please. Or really bad things will happen to you.

I want a city city, not just the street level of it. 90% of the buildings should accessible at least in some way. I also want to be able to get on top of some of the buildings. I think it would be the most awesome thing to use the hornet to get on top of a building and then snipe down.

Driving vehicles is also more intense on city maps. You have to be careful when driving and you have to be extra careful when walking around.

A map with multiple buildings that you could go into would be great. I support this idea.
