A problem about the Motion Tracker is that it can only pick up targets that are moving at a certain speed, so you can get killed by campers and slow-moving people. A Radar on the other hand, can detect anybody, no matter what. So which one should there be?? (And 500 years into the future, they give thier super soldiers just Motion Trackers. Wow)

More like keep it fair. What is the point of being able to crouch if people will always see you on the radar?

I have toggle crouch on, and I play a lot of MLG. Crouching has other uses than just making you disappear off the motion tracker.

They use Motion trackers in the books, so no radars.

Because Muslims surgically implant organic bombs in their testicles, which in turn will be injected into women during sex, which will grow into BABY BOMBS!

Motion tracker allows for more balance. It's also canon.

The motion tracker part is true. But I would pick it over radar anytime.

Ever been in a haunted house with strobe lights? The effect happens with Radar.

well there must be a reason the motion tracker tracks fast moving targets.my explanation is that they made it so so the MT would go crazy from leaves stones and other stuff.they put it so that when someone ses something no their tracker they will be more certain its a target instead of rin can moving from the wind

Here’s what Luke had to say about the differences in treatment between the Spartans and Elites in Reach:

“Instead of piece-by-piece customization like the Spartans, Elite customization is a full model swap with models selected from the various Elite classes appearing throughout the Campaign. There are all kinds of reasons for this, not the least of which is our continued emphasis on the Spartan as your identity in Reach.”

You can set it to Advanced mode in Customs where it can pick up stationary targets.

Does the motion sensor really fail to detect slow moving targets? I mean yeah walking from the crouch position slows you down but can you merely walk upright slowly to avoid motion detection? Of so than I've completely missed that this entire time.

You can, actually.
