The problem is how are you going to get people to do that?

k here you go

By now I believe Bungie has already progressed too far in Reach to add or make the changes we want so this may as well be a wishlist for a future game after Reach.

#1)Preferred Weapons
I think it would be cool if we could choose preferred weapons that we would start each round with for matchmaking and as an option in customgames. Now don't just blow this off right away keep reading! Okay so you would choose your preferred weapons in settings at the start menu so it's not like you can choose a different starting weapon every time you spawn in matchmaking. If a matchmaking gametype requires certain weapons than preferred weapons would be turned off. If you want to change your preferred / starting weapons then you have to exit the game you're playing and get back the start menu, or change it before the game starts unless a custom game allows in game changing. The preferred weapons you could choose would be limited. Maybe only 2 weapons to choose from, and no power weapons. The starting weapons you could choose from would vary on your character model, but still no power weapons. The weapons that players could choose from for their preferred weapons would by default not be on the map for matchmaking, but this is only because I'm expecting alot more weapons in Reach. In customgames you can toggle preferred weapons on / off, choose if players can change their preferred weapons before they spawn each time, and what preferred weapons players can choose from. Players would always only be able to choose certain preferred weapons depending on if ther're playing as a Covenant or UNSC character. So Spartans can never choose a PR, and Elites can never choose an AR. Here is a example of how this would work:

Character: Spartan
Preferred Primary Weapon: AR, *Other*
Preferred Secondary Weapon: Magnum, *Other*

Character: Elite
Preferred Primary Weapon: PR, *Other*
Preferred Secondary Weapon: PP, *Other*

You can only choose one for your primary, and secondary. And the starting weapons you can choose from wouldn't be dual wieldable.

#2)Biofoam Injectors
I have heard in topics and around the web of this UNSC technology, and I think it would be interesting to add. When your health starts to drop you could get out of enemy fire and the biofoam injectors would slowly replenish your health. There will be a meter on your HUD that tells how much biofoam is left in your suit so it wouldn't be unlimited. Biofoam injectors can only replenish your health to a certain point. If your health goes below half then it will only restore your health to half because you are too badly wounded for the biofoam to fully heal you. SO you would still need to find health packs to be fully healed, and biofoam only works so well. When you're in cover it takes about 3 seconds longer then it takes your shields to recharge for it to start replenishing you, and even then it goes slowly. In customgames you could turn biofoam injectors off, increase or decrease the rate at which health replenishes, and increase or decrease biofoam amount up to infinity or down to zero. Since the covenant don't use biofoam they would have an alternative if you play as a covenant model.

#3)Sprinting+Other
When your health drops to about 3/5 you start to limp, and when it drops to 1/5 you fall to the ground entering last stand mode(crawling mode) and have 15 seconds until death unless you still have biofoam to replenish you. When in customgames you can edit last stand mode to last up to 45 seconds or turn it off. You can be replenished back up to walking health. When you are in last stand mode you can fire single handed weapons so you can still defend yourself until the 15 seconds are up, or your biofoam heals out of last stand mode. Also equipment will be scrapped to make room for a sprint addition. Now don't -blam!- "This isn't COD!" yet. The new use for (X) will be crouching and by pressing down on the left joystick you can sprint. By default in matchmaking when you sprint speed increases by 25%. In customgames you can change sprint speed increases up to 300% or down to none. On your HUD display there will be a bar for stamina. By default in matchmaking you have 50points of stamina. Stamina replenishes at 0.50points per second. Sprinting uses 2 points per second. And you will also be able to punch and such which will also use stamina. Also (Y) will have a different use. I'll talk about that later.

#4)D-Pad
Since the d-pad currently has no real function I have come up with a role for it. I'm hoping we get atleast 32 player multiplayer. Now other than lagging I also noticed another issue. Too many people talking at once may cause a real problem with communication so I suggest chat channels. By default in matchmaking there would be 4 channels and 8 people per channel. You would press right on the d-pad to switch channels. In customgames you could turn chat channels off, and increase / decrease the number of channels+people per channel. Now I also noticed a problem with this. Being able to talk to only part of your team at a time could cause problems when trying to communicate. I haven't found a solution to this yet, butif you have any suggestions please share. If you find any problems please explain them so maybe we can fix it. And by pressing down on the d-pad you can switch weapons((Y)will have a different use which I'll explain next).

#5)Combat Mode & Stamina
By pressing (Y) you enter combat mode. When in combat mode you put away all your weapons using only your body as a weapon. When in combat mode speed and sprint speed both increase by 25%(I don't know it that's too much so tell me if it is). These are the controlls when in combat mode:

(A)=Jump
(B)=Punch
(X)=*Unchanged*
(Y)=Exit Combat Mode

Right Bumper=Kick
Left Bumper=Grab
Right Trigger=None
Left Trigger=Throw Grenades

Right D-Pad=*Unchanged*
Down D-Pad=Switch Weapons
Left D-Pad=None
Up D-Pad=None

When in combat mode you can do combo moves. I won't go into details Bungie will decide that. When your health is downed to 1/5 while in combat mode you exit combat mode and go into last stand mode pulling out your side arm. When you are healed out of last stand mode you don't automatically re-enter combat mode. Now let's bring stamina back in. You have 50points of stamina remember. Sprinting uses 2 points of stamina per second, punches use 1 point, kicks use 2 points, and grabs use 2 points. Stamina replenishes at 0.50 points per second. In customgames you can change how much stamina you have up to infinity or down to 25, and how fast if replenishes.

#6)Fall Damage+Health Packs
The maximum height you can fall by default in matmaking without taking any damage is 45ft. In customgames you can edit that height up to infinity or down to 20ft. I along with others would also like if health packs return. There would be 3 versions. A large health pack restores full health, medium packs add 3/5 of health, and small packs add 1/5 health.

Sorry I know it's a long read.
