idk how people like Stare at Goats take this so seriously. Just because he's horrible at MP doesn't mean he has to have a fit at better players than him. Dude, its just a game, get a -blam!- life.

Anyway, Campaign and Multiplayer are equal in my opinion, so yea.

PS. Stare At Goats, Go throw fists over the internet somewhere else. You're just giving everyone a reason to prove that you're horrible at MP. Once again, Get a life...

I wish I was still legendary.

I buy games for the campaign first and MM second. A campaign can be much better than MM; see Gears of War 2.

My third montage!

I will agree, in part with the OP, halo's multiplayer does have a higher replay value than it's campaign. However, for halo to be successful it needs a strong campaign and multiplayer.

I buy it for campaign. Multiplayer is a secondary thing for me. They should focus on both :D

So L4D totally failed when it received Online Game of the Year award and it had no Slayer type gamemode?

1) IDK, you still suck at H3

2) Once a noob always a noob

3) Because the only people who post in this forum are fanboys

4) People who play MP well make campaign look like a joke. People play campaign get embarrassed online. Example: Me and You.

5) That's because you have never played high level mp, because again, you suck.

1) you don't know i suck at halo? then quit saying i do

2) not true, my friend played a CoD and had a 0.1 kdr, he kept playing and got good and brought it up to a 1.2 kdr, so he aint really that much of a noob

3) fanboys and trolls like yourself, and i am not a fanboy, i play halo and other games like CoD equally.

4) actually, no, they get owned in campaign because they don't know what the hell they are doing, which is why they go to multiplayer. and people who do well in campaign do not always suck in multiplayer (i'm not saying i'm good, because i know i'm an average gamer) i have seen a rank 5 who beat the campaign on legendary beat the crap out of some rank 50's.

5) i've seen videos of high ranking people playing multiplayer, and it is THE EXACT SAME as the games i've been in, the only difference being the people talking (lower level games have more screaming 10 year olds, higher level games have more mature sounding(though not always mature acting) people playing)

1) Yes, you can't get a 50, you suck hard. It's so easy nowadays, I leveled one just today for it to be sold.

2) Still not giving a -blam!-, k/d means very little, rank shows alot.

3) Still not giving a -blam!-

4)
a)Lol, its the other way around. Anyone with a general can beat campaign, but nearly no one who can beat campaign can get a general
b)Show me a team of level 5s beating generals or it didn't happen. And scrub, if it did happen, the level 5's were second accounters going to level an account.

5) You don't even know what to look for. Your comprehension level of what is going on is so slim it's unbelievable. Once you learn how to play halo is a whole different game.

1) its easy to get a 50 if you only play ranked matches and get serious about it, i prefer social games because i play games for fun, not to be "the best"

2) rank just means you play alot in most games.

3) that isn't a valid argument

4) a) not really, it could go either way, but campaign still takes more skill
b) i don't film my games because i am not obsessed with my "awesomeness" but if you pay attention, it does happen

5) i know what to look for and in ALL GAMES, people use the exact same strategies, only slightly altered based on their gun. the only changes in games with higher ranking people is improved aim and reaction time, not strategy.

HORRIBLE EXAMPLE U RETARD. OHH NOOOOOEZ MARIO HAS NO SLAYER SO IT'S GONNA FAIL. SEE HOW THAT MAKES NO FUKKING SENSE?
what did i tell you about caps? and its way past your bedtime now. and also, this post just discredited your argument, you admit that a game doesn't need multiplayer to succeed.

4) Not even close. There are less people with a 50 than have beaten campaign on legendary. Campaign is 10x easier.
Find a game and link it, its in your mm history.

5) What a joke. The biggest difference between high and low levels is strategy. That's what separates colonels from generals. Watch this. That may have been the dumbest statement of all time. You are retarded, this is why low-levels' opinions should not be considered when making a game.
mlg is for noobs, no one cares about them and as for your response to 4, you just said that rank 50's can't beat the campaign on legendary, so u contradicted your self, saying the campaign takes more skill.

1. You left you caps button.
2. You're a retard. L4D's online was all campaign based and proves that campaigns do sell.
3. Horrible idea to counteract my example. Mario... when the -blam!- does that have a multiplayer or any online capabilities.

Here's a quiz quiz then. If I have ball setup on elbow guardian, where should my teammates be?

Or if I were trying to pull a flag on pit and my team was 2 down, what should I do?

The list goes on and on. You have no idea wtf I'm talking about because you SUCK.

Wow... told him he sucked. Makes you so much better.

No, it's because we play for fun to enjoy the game. We don't spend hours learning lame tactics. I don't play MLG and yet I'm still a pretty good player.

  • 11.22.2009 1:12 AM PDT

I've only ever bought Halo for its campaign, I love the multiplayer but I definitely buy it for the campaign.

And maybe for Bungie it's not only about how much they sell, maybe they want to focus on the campaign. They say they make games that they want to play.
And the multiplayer will probably be as good as the campaign.

answers: first question: no one cares about mlg 2nd: have 1-2 players guard your flag, the others flank the enemy base one draws their attention temporarily the other sneaks around, takes their flag, once the flag is grabbed, run to your base, have all available players cover the flag carrier, score, repeat. and if they grab your flag, then have some players go retrieve it, if the enemies are one away from victory, they will be more occupied with stealing your flag than stopping the guy stealing theirs.
