I need some help with the forums. I just started to get into them, but I dont know what some things mean like all of the 7th column and the septagon and all of the stuff in the right column. If someone can give me a little bit of help in these areas, it could really help me out.

Thanks

The Underground: For older Bungie games, not Halo, or Halo 2. Bungie General discussion is just about everything Bungie-related, just be sure to keep your topic clean. "wen iz Halo thr33 comin out" would not be a good topic to put there. :-)

The Septagon: for topics relating to the fan community, like suggestions about the site. It's the slowest forum.

New Mombasa: General topics about Halo 2, and discussion of the campaign.

Zanzibar: For discussion of Halo 2's multiplayer. *cough* Populated by whiners *cough*

Optimatch: Suggest new playlists [Xbox Live] and discuss possible changes to current ones. Like, taking the banshee off of Rifle duels. Ahem.

The Maw: Talk about Gearbox software's port of Halo to the PC. *note, the Gearbox forums would likely be a better place to talk if you're a Halo PC player*

The Library: Halo related discussion.

The Gallery: Forum where Bungie Staff will post pictures, and you get to caption them. I think there were prizes offered once...

The News: News stories are posted by the Staff, and you get to discuss them/mock them. If you're a mean jerk.

The Classifieds: Advertise your Group/Clan.

The Flood: A hellhole for all posts that don't fit into the above categories. Always off-colour and off-topic.

Edit: Sticky permanently appends a note to the top of the forum, for all posters to see. Stickies usually contain FAQ's, rules, and important announcements.

Not to be asking again, but how do you put your group name under all of your entries into the forums?

Do you mean a signature? Your signature is added to the bottom of every post, but by default you don't have a signature.

Go into your settings, and write a signature. To make a link to a group, use the link tags provided in the right hand column. ( this part will be the link )

e.g.: Chapter Founders

Enjoy Bungie!
