Subject: Should the Protagonist have a face

I don't need to explain that you never saw John-177's face during any of the Halo games. So is it time our new Spartan hero had a face. That is if we aren't playing as the Master Chief of course. Or should Bungie keep it the way it's always been and never see the face of a Hero. Discuss please.

Armor Lock is not a crutch, it is a wheelchair!

Who is this John-177? I have heard of Spartan-117...

On topic-I don't think they should show the face of the main character that you are going to be controlling.

Maybe, depends really.

More bacon strips!

Faceless and silent protagonist is a cheap and easy way to increase immersion so you can be sure that whoever the protagonist is, you will never see his face and he'll probably be taciturn.

No, since the protagonist will be a Spartan(s) they should be faceless.

What I was thinking, spartans shouldn't show their faces, but if you end up playing multiple players for instance, like and ODST, you should see their face.

When a Spartan show his face, you either get a androgynous whiny teenager or a long haired woman like in Halo Legends - The Babysitters .

Not revealing their faces keeps them non-human/godly
(in a way)

Exactly. Speak silently but carry a big stick.

I think they should have a face. I mean, there's going to be a whole squad of Spartans in this game. I'd be pretty disapointed if we didn't get to see at least one face.
