I ♥ Bungie!

ok what about this idea;you can have four player co-op campaign on one Xbox:because on multiplayer you can do split screen for fuor player costom games, so why not campaign. so what do you think.

throwning snowballs at cars is like doing a bell ditch. The end result is basically the same: sprinting away from the large man exiting his car who yells profanities, hiding behind a house, and watching as his car patrols the street, waiting to murder you.

Asking the flood for dating advice is like you going up to a bunch of starving Africans and debating the pros and cons of the bacon roll vs the double cheeseburger.

Some one who stands for nothing shall fall for everything.

bump again and bungie will show you the banhammer.
on-topic:the screens would be to small but it would be fun.

I hope you will be able to play a four player campaign on a single Xbox.

I'd like this feature. But if it lags like ODST campaign, forget it then. Lag in campaign is not good. They need to figure this out. I mean, I can play Co-Op Spec Ops with some with no lag, whether they live right down the street from me or a state away.

Yea id like that.

Campaign is completely different from multiplayer, I don't know the technical mumbo-jumbo, but there's a lot more stuff going on in campaign, and 4-player split-screen puts a little too much pressure on the game (it runs way slower). I'd definately like to see it in Reach, I'm just saying why it wasn't in Halo 3.

This is a much needed feature for reach.

If its on the same console it should't lag..

have you ever played left 4 dead split screen and compared it to single player. it gets choppy and the graphics become worse almost looking like a gamecube game.

I don't like it. Like others has said, it brings up technical issues, and like with the Vidmasters, it would also allow people to cheat that

Halo isn't left 4 dead. left for dead is much better, it has so much scenery to load and whatnot.

all vidmasters are online. plus, how would that be cheating? what if someone didnt have friends on xbox live except for people he actually knows.

well that makes sense then...if a game better then halo can barely handle 2 players what makes you think reach...that is using a new engine and might have higher AI count can support more then two people on one screen without it becoming choppy...its a basic concept.

I would love 4 player co-op on one xbox; I've wanted it ever since H2.

Campaign typically turns on extra graphical "magic." This could cause enough extra work that the Xbox simply won't be able to handle the render without a serious loss in overall quality. Personally I never play split screen even. If I want local multiplayer with my friends they bring their boxes over and we LAN.

  • 11.22.2009 11:21 AM PDT

Four people on 1 xbox would be way to intensive on a xbox, espicially with a newer better engine.
for proof, just look at how many games don't allow more than two player on one xbox or allow multiple people on a single xbox.

you can do 4 player multiplayer so halo has 4 people on one console

I was in 5th grade. I popped in the Halo CE disc into the massive, clunky first generation Microsoft Xbox, and wrapped my small hands around the controller that was almost too big for me. Little did I know what I was getting into.

10+ years later, I still look up to my childhood hero, Master Chief, while everyone talks about He Man and Spongebob haha

It's possible. Look on youtube; some people glitched 4 player splitscreen for Halo 3 campaign.

The question is, if it can be glitched by the community (with no technical knowledge whatsoever), why can't it be made legit with the game with Bungie's technical prowess?

I guess 4 player coop LIVE is another selling point?

  • 11.22.2009 11:42 AM PDT

Didn't say it couldn't be done, just say how much power it would take would be incredibly high and in most cases without a lot of extra work for efficiency purposy would not be worth it.
