Just wondering how everyone gets thier practice when they are by themselves. I know that playing the game on Legendary many times is a good answer but does anyone have any other ideas, please share

Thanks for the advice GOD Halo Fan, but i got plenty of friends to play halo at lans, but what i meant was how do you practice when you are by your self , you know to surprise your friends when the nest time you play

I just said that 'cause I couldn't think of a better way to practise than with friends. Even legendary elites can't give you the same challenge as a human player.

but you could explore the Mplayer maps in detail. Know the Map = Own your Opposition.

True I know the maps already but lets say for instance you want to practice your plasma grenade throwing, or sniping, how do you go about it, play split screen by your self and run by or jump at odd angles and try to stick it to the other player.......stuff like that

Play against my friends and beating the campaign over and over again.

or go up to blood gulch and go behind the red base on to that hill and put the the other player in the middle of the field and snipe him while you move the other controller with your foot and give yourself a point if its a headshot and give the other controller a point if you miss or dont hit him the head

I do something similar, but I did it so I can reflexively ( not a word ! ) aim for the respawn spots on BG, this way the player never actually starts moving before I nail him in the head. This is fun if your mad at someone and want to make the even madder.

Similar to what you guys said. I like to make a 1v1 ctf game in gulch and put the controller in a position such that the joystick is constantly pushing forward. Try to make headshots as much as possible.

btw, if you are red and the other guy is blue, be prepared for two annoying spawns- one where the bum falls into the base and runsinto a corner, and the other where he runs through the teleporter.

Other than that, try to beat Legendary with only one life. I have finished 6 out of the 10 levels, need to work on the others

I actually play Counter Strike online....it helped me no end in kickin ass on Halo multi-player...because a lot of the tactics are the same.

Or you could try controlling two players at once...one controller in each hand and beating yourself....Now that would seriously hone your skills and it would also mean if you were good enough you could beat your real friends with one hand whilst eating a pizza at the same time with the other...that would really wind them up.

I'll tell you, but don't laugh,

- Set up a player called "Test Dummy" and turn vibration OFF and auto-center ON.

- Start a CTF game in Split Screen with Test Dummy and your own profile.

- Place an elastic on Test Dummy's thumb sticks and adjust the tension till he's circling in a realistic pattern (not too frantic).

Vibration OFF helps keep the joystick on the table and with CTF, Test Dummy re-spawns in the same general area. This exercise helped me set my sensitivity and was good practice for sniping and pistolling. Test Dummy's not much of an opponent, but get what you can out of him to improve your game and join the rest of us online.

Do Derelict CTF, make four players (all different team than you) stand in front of the enemies base. Now, pull out a pistol and you have a classic game of whack-a-mole. Go for head shots.

I make my sister (who isn't "allowed" to play rated "M" games) run around the map until I happen to find a sniper rifle. I then commence firing at the character's head until nothing remains. Sometimes I have to find her because she hides though. hehe

Try no scoping with the sniper, it helps a lot. Then when you zoom in a real game, its seems so easy.

Or you can just play with 15 people for 12 hours straight, if your not better at the end of that, there is no hope for you.

buy a third party controller with a macro button so you can set it up so they repeat actions like run at an angle while jumping or jumping, spinning 360 and firing AR constantly.

That's interesting GR8ST, never heard of a controller like that. You have a link?
