Subject: Forerunner weapons.

Or give that to the EMP powers of the Overcharged Plasma Pistol Shot.

I'm one with the warrior inside. The evidence can't be denied. The entire world will stare. Into this battlefield tonight. As I stand before you with a warrior's heart now. I can feel the strength that will Ensure my victory this time

Lol the gravity rifle, has a ring to it I don't think it should be as powerful as the gravityhammer because it would turn into another spartan laser.

The Gravity Rifle was originally going to be in Halo 2, but was replaced by the Beam Rifle.

It would make sense that the Forerunners had weapons to counter the Flood. Here's one I came up with:

a rapid-fire rifle with incendiary rounds - has a large clip size and a very high rate of fire, but is not full automatic so that the user has to fire in controlled bursts
While each shot is not paritcularly powerful, it gives off a small flare on impact, causing splash damage to all nearby enemies with a considerable AOE, making this weapon the perfect chioce for eliminating clusters of infection forms and other Floods. Additionally, anything hit will start to burn, and while not enough to be lethal, it will burn the corpse so that it can't be reanimated by an infection form.

Theyre anti-Flood weapons were basically sentinal beams.

But how would the forerunners fit in with Reach?

True, but who's to say that they didn't have more anti-Flood weapons? After all, the Flood was the biggest threat they ever faced.

If you read First Strike there ends up being some secret hidden forerunner stuff on Reach that the covenant want.

edit: the gravity rifle would be a lolz weapon. You would get sniped halfway across the map and then get blown across the other half by the force of the weapon.

What about Forerunner vehicles?
It would be interesting to drive an enforcer...

As I mentioned in the new gun thread, my idea for a new weapon is this.

The Sentinel laser rifle, a silver colored, rifle shaped weapon that fires a blue sentinel major beam, but much smaller.

The Sentinel laser rifle uses battery power, while the blue laser beams are much smaller, compared to a regular sentinel beam weapon, this weapon can be reloaded.

As for the creation of this weapon, different factions of Forerunners had different uses for the Sentinel Major, for some, the gold Sentinels were used to great effect on containing and repelling the flood, for places like the Ark, they decided instead of using the gold sentinels, they took the laser parts, and remade them into turrets.

In Harvest, with the lack of effective weaponry, one Forerunner decided to make a Rifle based of a laser part of a Sentinel Major, and used them to great effect on the flood.

Of course, now in Reach, these rare weapons are highly valued by the UNSC and the Covenant.

(Sorry for the made up lore, but I decided to give a background on my weapon idea, and why such a weapon would be created)
