I remember hearing somewhere (not sure where) that you would be able to put your weapons away and be able to sprint (or run faster than when you are armed). If thats the case wouldnt sniping be more difficult... i mean if you are being sniped you could totally throw off the snipers aim by running with weapons, then sprint, then with weapons , then sprint, so you could always radically change your speed...anyways tell me what you think

it would probably work just the same as someone strafing etc in Halo - a good sniper tactic is to put this sight where the target is likely to be then wait for them to move into the sight - rather than move the sight to them...

yea thats true i know that tactic....but if the speed of the strafe varies it would be hard to determine when to shoot. dont you think?

a little harder maybe - but you'll get used to it pretty quick... there's not much lead on a sniper.

I think the whole point is that its supposed to be hard to kill a moving target with a sniper rifle...that is why they are powerful and 1/2 shots kill you.
Smart players will use tactics like a real sniper and wait for players to walk into their scope, or they will track their movement patterns and routines and learn what they will likely do next in a given situation and therefore be able to predict the best place to target.
Remember that if the player is switching between full running and normal etc then they will not always have their guns in use, so it will allow snipers to relax a bit more without worrying about being shot and their zoom view cutting out.
It seems like it should balance itself...snipers have to be very patient and very accurate....players that jump and run around like idiots will have less opportunity to fire accurately or at all at the snipers.
Cant wait to try it out!

im almost positive that u wont b able to sprint as much as u want....theres going to b some sort of stamina bar that will run out of energy if u sprint a lot, or maybe even let u jump a bit higher who knows but i hink that the case.....

I think they could employ the cross-hair wavering-feature, similar to most games, like Max Payne, where your croshair doesn't stay still. when you crouch, it will. Of course, this is the MC we're talkin about here, and i personally LIKE the still crosshairs.

Screw everything i just said, ok?

The point of the crosshair never moving around (like in Max Payne) is to demonstrate the Master Chief's extreme skill with different weapons, his arms do not waver as he sights a target. Regardless of how hard they make it I will still be awesome.
