I really don't understand what you mean about clutter? Sure we've got to many stickies, but we're working on those.

no offense.. everything looks cool and all, but it is organized poorly.

everything clutters up fast and causes chaos.

edit: i have no idea where to put this. this section sound reasonable for this.

I think it will be done and over once the New Hotness™ arrives. It should be addressing issues like forum organization, searching the forums, better tools for the mods maybe? And the Chapter Creation thing that everyone and their brother post about.

Yo Halo53, I'm real happy for you and I'ma let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best bungie.net profiles of all time. OF ALL TIME!

Searching will help forum organization greatly. If we do have a huge member overflow come Halo 2, we may even need more mods (IMO) so just look for the forums to improve with age. Like Wine. And Havoc's mom :D

by clutter i mean that theres not much features such as shortcuts through other threads, view new posts all at once, number of times viewed, search feature (ie. if there is a thread i remember that had good halo infomation in it, it would be buried under piles of other threads. with the search feature, i can simple type in the topic of the thread and find it easily and save time. this is also one of the reason ppl keep spamming the boards with same stuff over and over. they could simply just search for something like halo 2 weapons without having to make a new thread)

another thing is post count, maybe gamertag under their username. im basically talking about a VB bulliten board.

i think the above actions would make things feel more calmer and more organized. the design interface is excellent, its just the way things run that needs to be taken care of.

i hope that helps.

Once again, this is the new hotness. Whenever you see that the new hotness is coming, it is referring to The 7th Column.

The search feature is supposedly on its way. We know we need one, and they are working on it, but they still have to do Halo 2. About the post count, there was a post count for the first few weeks, but it was deemed too much trouble and it caused many conflicts over who is better by number of posts. It was then eliminated. The other things are good ideas though.

Mere presence of a search feature, alas, does not ensure that it will be used. We need to build a better forumgoer in order to kill clutter. The Death of the Post Count was one step in the right direction.

Search is nice for those of us who choose to use it, though. It might mitigate what we have to go through here (especially on New Mombassa) in order to find the genuinely useful and new posts.

With B.B. gone, the passion of Bungie.net has lessened.

This "clutter" that you speak of is hard to get used to. When this "new hotness" (which less than ironically is now the old hotness) was put into play, I had a hard time dealing with the clutter at first.... and that was when there were 3 main Forums (Underground, Septagon, and The Maw)... but you'll become acustomed to it... just give it a little while to grow on you.

Ohh, the good ol' days when the forum was run by like 30 people and we all got along and responded to the actual thread. Tsktsktsk. How I sometimes miss those days. *tear*
