I mean the fact that you could create your own hiding spots by blow holes in walls was a great idea, do you think halo2 will implement something similar and how do you think it will affect gameplay?...curious to hear your thoughts

I doubt it, but i suspect you can knock down trees, or blow up some parts of the structures, things like that. In Far cry on PC you can blow dents a few feet across and about a foot deep into the ground with grenades, so it may be possible to do this in Halo 2. It would be cool.

Yeah. I'm not sure how excatly it will work. But in an older Halo 2 article I read Bungie had the means to do so but the lighting didn't match up. Like it you blue up a chunk of the wall the shadow on the ground would still be the normal corner of the wall it was before. Or something to that effect. I read the enviroments were are so hardcore that wood will splinter when its shot. You'll be able to flip ver tables for cover. I also read the lighting going to be way more indepth. Hopefully they can make it like splinter cells lighting.

Splinter Cell lighting? What the heck man, Halo 2's lighting blows Splinter's out of the water. It's a good game, but it's never going to be Halo. I agree with freeload, the game will allow certain things (hopefully a lot) to be destroyed, but it would be too crazy to be able to tunnel endlessly. That would be cool though, to tunnel under Blood Gulch to get to the flag. Or make a tunnel big enough to drive a Warthog through, holy crap. That'd be crazy!
