Am I missing something? I thought the point of these forums were to have discussions about various topics. What do you mean by not posting too much?

A couple more tips

if the enemy chopper gets lucky enough to get behind you and knocks your shields off, jump off the chopper and he will pass you by. It is much easier to dodge the chopper on foot than duking it out with him on your chopper.

Beware of the fuel rod chieftan at the onset of the fifth wave when at your laser position. If you wait too long in lasing the wraith, he will see you and start firing an endless barrage of ammo at you. This usually ends with your chopper that is parked up there being destroyed. This is a relatively new phenomenon that has started occuring. Just keep a couple of choppers parked around the building where you Jack them. If you don't have any around, it is easier to just let him kill you so that you can pick up one at the spawn point.

Mythic Conquer # 23 baby
I've beaten ODST and Halo 3 on Mythic.

Very nice tips, I'm eventually going to try and get that skull you have there on your pic. That'll be my last and final goal for ODST.

I'm thinking your tips will help out alot, and maybe I can get it done.

Watching what I did each wave will help alot in getting a high score. You need to practice quite a bit too. You will learn how the enemy reacts to your actions. Good luck.

If only people read my threads....

I'm back :P

  • 11.27.2009 3:09 PM PDT

I've had as many as 15 choppers in and around the spawn point. They never disappear until they are blown up.

Another tip- keep choppers parked behind the building you spawn in as well as to the side. I stayed at the spawn too long once and all my choppers were destroyed (at least 8) both inside the building and outside near the stairs (by fuel rod grunts standing out in front of the warthog spawn). After losing several lives, I managed to escape with the choppers parked in the back (they are out of the line of fire) by boosting over the rocks that I described earlier.

If only people read my threads....

yeah, when you get good enough, killionaires happen quite frequently (especially during bonus rounds :P)

well anyways, I am currently in a legendary game, I'm at about 95k points and at set one round two wave three :=

If only people read my threads....

WooooooooooooooooooooooooW.....................
have I mentioned that the game MAKES me lose by being cheap?
And it's almost ALWAYS during black eye, so.............
well, yeah......... only 153368 points............

  • 11.28.2009 8:05 AM PDT

You gotta learn to avoid contact during blackeye. Also slapping the jackals around helps

  • 11.28.2009 11:19 AM PDT

If only people read my threads....

yeah, well getting stuck 3-5 times in a row never helps while avoiding drones that unusually stay directly above you instead of the fair ones during the other rounds...........

  • 11.28.2009 11:43 AM PDT

Thanks man. I needed this for sure.

  • 11.28.2009 11:53 AM PDT

No problem. Hope it helps.

If only people read my threads....

Well anyways, the Heroic run didn't work, same reasons................

throwning snowballs at cars is like doing a bell ditch. The end result is basically the same: sprinting away from the large man exiting his car who yells profanities, hiding behind a house, and watching as his car patrols the street, waiting to murder you.

Asking the flood for dating advice is like you going up to a bunch of starving Africans and debating the pros and cons of the bacon roll vs the double cheeseburger.

Some one who stands for nothing shall fall for everything.

dude i meant try not posting to much or they will think that you are trying to bump your thread up and btw nice guide i am using it now i have 284065 points i am on normal becuase i just wanted to test out your guide and i am the 3 set round 2 wave 3.

I hunt for the Prophet of Contentment, the San 'Shyumm that murdered my son, and stole his birthright, his Energy Sword. They call our species Heretics. They claim to all that our tongues sting, our words a vile poison that feeds on the unworthy. I have seen the true face of Heresy. The head of a gallant warrior lay on the ground. His neck scorched and blistered, scarred by his own blade. I shall retrieve the weapon, and drive it through that bastard's heart! Punishment for his sins is nigh.

So put simply:

Step 1: Get a Chopper.

Step 2: Whore the Chopper.

Step 3: Patience, it is ridiculously easy from here.

Nope, don't think I'm that much of a whore.

That pretty much sums it up all right. I would emphasize the patience part and add in a tad bit of skill.

If you are going for a large score I would suggest that you do it alone because you can pause it when you want to. I helped a guy the other night get to 2 million and it took around 5 hours. It just depends how conservative you want to be.
2mil in 5hours?! thats stupid imo. Our run was 3hours and we totalled 4.3mil. I can't see doing this solo as it would bore me to death with no one to communicate / talk to. I mean, whatever works for that mythic skull, but i can't justify using tactics like those in the video. Its too much patience and "-blam!-ery" imo. Again, not knocking your strategy, just saying that it isn't my style of play.

  • 11.29.2009 10:45 PM PDT

If you can get three other guys to play 7 hours straight, then by all means, do it that way. These tips are for those of us that can't or who just want to post a high solo legendary score.

chopper in legendary is undefeatable. Instead of holding the trigger , you can rapidly press the fire button to fire faster, this equals everything dead.
