I got ODST yesterday, I got it used and I tried that campaign, and I think its sucks. I played it for about 15minutes and got bored, Its almost a copy of Halo 3, its not that great. Only the firefight is good but thats about it.

If you shall buy it dont get 1st hand. no point wasting £40 on a game you only like a part of. get 2nd hand

"Sir were surrounded!" "Good! That means we can attack from all sides!"

I think the whole thing sucks 1.only 4 people in the whole party 2.you can only have one guest
3.its boring
4.you have to do half of the campain by yourself wich is also boring.

Great campaign,Firefight kept me busy for about 3 weeks and the beta code for reach. i'd say so.

Going for Recon on VIDMASTER!

  • 02.20.2010 12:14 PM PDT

Yes, but only because of the Beta. The rest was just an expansion. The game only actually cost me $50 because I did not have the map expansions yet so that was a good deal.

Remember, Halo is ment to be played on a HDTV, 1080p, HDMI, with 5.1 surround sound to fully have the experience.

The retail price is not worth it.

If your a hardcore campaigner who really looks in depth of the story you want to play it. Personally though, the Halo 2 EA demo (whatever it was called)seemed more epic and action packed, when your the rookie it's nice and slow and erie atmosphere, looking to the hellish sky, which was good but nothing like the the demo, when the cannon is firing at the buildings, then air strikes being called in. It gives a different prespective, but not that much broader prespective either, just a ODST team, like Delta in Gears Of War.

Instead of telling you what you already know and what others haven't already told you, just simply wait for a price drop.

If your gonna buy it mainly for the DLC, don't. They do have the new maps which couldn't be played unless you had the multiplayer disc which comes with ODST up on market place.

Continued research on biological entity known as the Flood is still progressing but I still fear the worst. History may in fact repeat itself. I am the last of my generation and I have to find a cure.

if youre a halo fan...YES! if not then odst wont change your mind about halo. reach might but not odst.

if you dont have all the maps downloaded yet...YES! its the perfect buy at a great value.

if you have all the maps then full price could feel a little steep because of the rather short campaign and firefight not having matchmaking.

but the campaingn and firefight is still great though and worth checking out and experiencing for yourself!

WIN

Though i don't agree on everything else...

Depends, if you take screenshots, then ODST is a treasure chest! If you want Recon and the new maps, it's a requirement (well, not with the new maps on marketplace), otherwise, if you don't want the two options above, I'd say no, don't buy it

NOTE: When the Reach Beta comes out, it's the only way to get the beta!

Got Halo ODST and it never came with a separate disk for the mythic map packs now I had to spend more money on getting the maps than if I just got the second disk.
