I agree. Mods don't get the credit they deserve. Let's start a send the mods to Hawaii fund! J/K, but the Mods at b.net are awesome.

Technically, this is spam, but I'm not writing this just to spam the forums. How do the mods keep up with all of this? Must be the most stressful job ever. And then they have idiots that cuss them out saying stuff like,"WTF, Shishka just locked my thread again. -blam!- mods." Making a tough job even worse. Seriously, we need to support the mods instead of working against them. I'm 100% behind them.
And by the way, before all of the fools that hate the mods come to attack me, I've been warned by Shishka, and you don't see me swearing at him and all the others. You have to just admit that you were doing something wrong, and you were corrected. It's not a big deal.

They make the forums an effective information-obtaining place. Thank you mods. By the way, are some of you appointed to certain forums, or do you have to monitor all of them? Either way, keep up the good work. Could you sticky this by the way? Just to show all of the members that the mods are here for something. Not just locking up threads for the hell of it.

Mods, I invite you to post about an average day for you, monitoring the forums. That way, everyone can see what your day is like.

Could we call people who practically have shrines to mods "Mamma's boy"s?

But yes, they do a good job.

Technically, this is spam,

Actually, this is not a spam thread. Your topic has depth and thought, and as you can see, people support your opinion on this matter.

Mods=safe experiance for the youngsters visiting the site, and upheld moral values of bungie. (does bungie really have moral values?)

You know what? I'm tired. Ignore me. It's 3:00 AM here. Well 3:14 officially...

Thanks. But I said that it was spam because I first posted this in New Mombasa. The mods moved it here and locked the thread over there. They were merciful, to say the least.

Sorry, didn't see yours. I make a point not to visit The Flood. Ever. I don't really enjoy off-topic forums. And the only reason I'm here right now, at 1:02 a.m. Standard Pacific Time, is because my thread is here. Kind of selfish, I know.

Wow. So many. Wow. By the way, I have a question. "No political topics. Ever." So said Shishka and the Code of Conduct basically. Is the reason for that being that politcal conversasions tend to get messy, or that the main focus of the forums should be to talk about Bungie and all things related.? Or both?

  • 07.27.2004 1:10 AM PDT

yoo•zel- ('yoo-zhul): slang: vb.

Officium quod Fidelitas.

They do get messy and we just don't want it getting out of hand. It'd come down to people going 'No F-you so and so roks' ect... Most people don't think out their ideas before they post. =)

P.S. Thanks for the kind words.

You kick ass. Those bee threads are destroying any intellectual content on the New Mombasa forum.

And to answer a question that never got answered: All the mods mod all of the forums. At least to my knowledge (which isn't much).

A little here, a little there. The majority of the forums are for Bungie topics only. The reason for the ban of the topic from the Flood as well is that the arguments always become messy and full of stupid insults. I personally don't feel that political discussion really has a place on forums hosted by a game developer anyhow. ;)

Thanks for the kind words, I'm sure I speak for the mods that haven't already responded yet when I say we appreciate the gesture. =)

edit- Oh, and regarding the "who mods what" question, we all comb all the forums. Stosh may or may not eventually decide to assign us to specific forums, but so far we've all got each other's backs.

No prob. This is a dumbass question, but I assume all of you have cable, or DSL? It would suck to be a mod with dial-up. You guys do a good job either way, even if you are outnumbered.
