Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

Bungie = sick mofos. I can't believe how exploitable their crap is. I also can't stomach how ruthless and sadistic Halo 2 players are. It's disgusting. I hope they all rot in hell. I'm throwing H2V in the garbage. Totally worthless trash made for cowardly internet bullies.

Halo CE forever!

Old news. If you don't mind the technical problems that many face with the game, it should play fine with the right company. The player base consist mostly of those 15-year old noobs you mentioned, so it might be hard to find anyone who's fun to play with, though. You shouldn't blame Bungie in the first place.

50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

1. Dont blame bungie, blame MSGS/hired gun. They ported it.
2. It was exploitable as it had no offical Anti-Cheat on the PC, unlike GoW pc or other PC games or Halo 2 Xbox.

I like games, they are awesome. I also like girls, they are awesome as well.

throwing away halo 2 is a waste, because i cant find my halo 2 product keys and i still cant play...grrrr

Bungie needs to be equally blamed too.
Halo Franchise is owned by them.
all the Halo 2 Resources are theirs.
they had this sick idea to deny us a proper editing Kit, and kill the modding community.
making maps for this game isn't worth the hassle,

also, quotes, from the failsauce of H2V Fail FaQ brought to you by SketchFactor.
Who's working on Halo 2 for Windows Vista? How does this game relate to Halo 3?

The hard work of bringing Halo 2 to Windows Vista is being done by a team within Microsoft Game Studios, codenamed Hired Gun. Bungie is helping Hired Gun with design decisions and quality assurance. The teams for H2V and Halo 3 are completely separate.
Tell me more about this Hired Gun team within Microsoft Game Studios.

"Hired Gun" is the codename for a recently-created team within MGS. Their first task is to bring Halo 2 to the Windows Vista platform, with support from Bungie Studios. The team is led and staffed by seasoned veterans with multiple PC and console titles under their belts. Read more about Hired Gun in this previous Bungie.net feature.

even lies posted by Bungie.
Will H2V add new weapons or vehicle types?

Adding a new weapon or vehicle to the existing Halo 2 campaign or multiplayer maps could cause them to play in ways Bungie didn't intend, and the team plans to stay true to the original Halo 2 experience. However, user-created custom content doesn't have this problem, and the team may offer new gameplay elements through the H2V map editor. We'll announce more when we're ready.
apparently, we'd all die if any new content was added to maps, that supposedly Bungie didn't intend.

Are these tools user-friendly?

We expect most users of H2V will simply enjoy the custom content created by others, rather than make their own. Guerilla, Sapien, and Tool were originally created by and for Bungie's own developers and require some dedication to learn. That said, the toolkit for H2V is friendlier and more polished than the Halo 1 PC HEK, which the Halo community used to create over a thousand unique multiplayer maps.

how many maps have been released with
user-created content that includes
new vehicles? none
how many done new Player models? none.
how many done new objects? very few.
how many done new weapons? one.

how many maps are released on Halomaps.org
compared to Halo 1 Custom Edition?

H2V maps are released like once every 2 month.
H2V Editing kit fails, BSP creation is all that is allowed for the normal users.
Advanced users don't have much difference.

just one person has tried his best, and Bungie said we wouldn't even have this problem.

I would rather, just play Halo 2 on Xbox, atleast that allowed mods.

Halo 2 Vista never attempted to become better than Halo 2 Xbox.

Everybody needs to thank all those for screwing us over.
Thankyou Bungie, HiredGun/Microsoft, Pi Studios.

THANKYOU FOR SCREWING US OVER.

I TOO ARE GOING TO THROW
THIS PIECE OF -blam!- IN THE FIRE, or into the Blender (imagine H2V goin' into that.).

I didn't have any problem with H2V. Unless this is a new gamertag I see that you are really not familiar with H2 online (it was far worse back in 04-07).

I'm a little surprised to see such an angry post from an ELM

P.S. Tell us how you really feel next time ok?

Sorry, I was really, really mad. I've only ever had this GT, and due to not being able to play H2V for years after I bought it, I'm still not familiar with the community. :/

The bungie.net community is the halo PC community that is renowned for being unbelieveably sucky.

Even with all the problems of H2v, if they can't stop the cheaters from taking it over, the game truly becomes worthless. It's just really unfortunate. People are cheating on Halo PC again too, and it just makes it not fun to play. I don't mind losing, but losing to people who need to cheat to win is just lame. In real life those people get punched in the face. And the most obnoxios part is that 95% of the cheaters pirated the game anyway. So of course it is the people who actually gave these clowns money that get hurt.

Why does everyone hate Halo 2? Maybe its because its the worst game ever next to mario.

I remember the good days of Halo 2 Vista. I was on it the first day it was online, where there were actually Bungie/Microsoft servers that were up in running.

Eversince the gunmonkey80 Saga, it has truly been destroyed. I got a good 2 years out of it, but I will never play this trash again.

All good bro! I haven't played H2V for a few months and I know many of the servers then were filled with cheaters.

Just gotta find a good game that isn't filled with a bunch of clowns.

I got h2v, and then i got sick of people like the crashers, then guys asking people to download their aimbots, and other BS. And it is still happening now (with n00b cheaters now that there are no more crashers.)

H2V is a Black hole, it can't be screwed like that. it just sucks no matter what.

maybe if it was filled with something worthwhile,
like an actual Halo 2 Editing Kit (better than Halo CE), and all stock tags.

(Bungie > 343i)

Hey I personally thought that the Campaign was actually great; it looks great in 1920x1080 w/4x AA.. Multiplayer on the other hand just makes me sick.

I still play it. Multiplayer isn't nearly as good as it was on the Xbox, but it's still fun as long as you're playing with the right people.

Yeah, i know who that crasher is (XD frosty XD/rainman 116). He posted on my vids once and made his own server.
Also, R3sisted, did you get the Anti-Crash? From Kiwidoggie? It works better than the moose one. Which means lessof this.

EDIT: Here is another video the crasher, but made by him (dumb move)

Says a lot about a company when the players of their game take better care of it than the company themselves.

Something smells fishy...

I totally agree.

It would be nice if Bungie applied just a-wee-bit of extra focus and spent just a little bit more time on its PC games, rather than all of its effort being devoted to game development for the XBOX 360. Maybe then the dedicated Halo PC players would not have to essentially provide their own important fixes, patches, and updates.

Frankly it's very unprofessional of Bungie to not provide any active support for Halo PC games.

Bungie released the first Halo for the XBOX in 2001 which was a big hit. Then Halo for the PC was released in 2003.
Here's the issue:
Halo 1 PC has multiplayer while Halo 1 XBOX did not and does not support online multiplayer.
Thus Halo 1 PC still has a lot of activity.

Bungie should recognize this.
Bungie should've established an efficient means of support for Halo 1 PC. Halo 1 PC is now a pretty old game so now it's almost too late for Bungie to even consider giving a [blam]hoot[/blam].

If Bungie was going to just abandon Halo 1 PC like they have than why did they even make it?

It's baffling....

[attempt positive thinking]You know there are more important things to worry about in the world of course. I guess I shouldn't care so much.. You know like Obama sending 30,000 troops into Afghanistan, pirates in Somalia, the Amanda Knox trial, ice melting at alarming rates, the end of the world...etc.[/attempt positive thinking]

>>attempt.........
>>fail
