does anyone know why the counter would tick down to 6:06am August 24th?

because i know its calibrated to go along with your computer's clock so why 6:06?

theres already been probably hundreds of theories about this, however at 6:06 am today (in 4hours) the "Network throttling will erode" ;P

That is the one thing that gets me. I was playing around with my computer today figuring on that. Really makes no sense. However I am sure that in the scheme of things it will.

apparently it allready has, the timer clicked to 0 hrs ago. what im wondering is if that counter is so exact that it will go to a milisecond, there has to be something significant about 6:06am. but theres nothing i can think of halo related that makes sense with 606

Are you sure it wasn`t 6:07?

Me: "OMFG, Dude... wtf!"
AbolitionofMan: "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to betray you."
Me: "That's the 4th time in this game alone!"
Chris: "Third, besides he had the flag I was trying to stop him, how was I supposed to know you were there."
Me: "I said, 'I got the Flag, don't shoot.'"
Chris: "Well those Wraith shots take a while to reach you."
Me: "You were right next to me, I had killed him and a minute passed before you decided to shoot."
Chris: "Hahahahaha, yeah... that was great."

Well, in case some of you don't know. The time this will all end is 6am in all timezones. Meaning, the East Coast first, then Central, then Mountain, then Pacific, Alaska, Hawaii. It never hit me until a friend of mine told me how long until his counter time ended for the network throttling and he said 6am MT, yet for me as well it says 6am CT and the same for a friend in NY, 6am ET. I can't think of a reason for this however.

the reason it goes in differnt timeszones is because the counter goes by the clock on your computer, if your computer's clock is wrong the countdown will be wrong. it couts down to 6:06 in whatever timezone you are.

They shouldn`t have done that, they should have used a online/universal clock or something so whatever happens, happens at once.

personally, i dont think the clock will strike anything, i just think its a countdown until a day. i dont think when the time is up itll change to a differnt site and say something about halo 2 its just a countdown to something. but no one knows what.
