bah

What ever became/will become of the old archived posts? I want just one last crack at them, just one more, too trace a lead on mrsmiley's first account. It is the final thing that I must do. So if you're going to delete them, let me see them just one more time (it'll take me all of ten minutes to find his old account too; I've gotten really good at it).

They did only go back a year, from memory.

They went back all the way from day one. You could actually set your preferences to Creation Date, Old First and see the first ever posts on the old B.net. It was entertaining; I didn't recognize a single name. All you had to do to view older posts in the search was not enter in a time span. This opened it up to all posts. That's how I did post counts and first post dates. If I could see the archives one more time, I'd do a search for mrsmiley's old name in the text, and see if anybody mentioned his name. Then, I'd do a search for the topic and see who responded. When I find a likely responce, I'd click on it to see the location and personal info, but I'm afraid that all the nopassports are gone so I'd never know for sure. But I could still compare the language patterns and see if it was him.

I'm guessing the archives are gone completely. I mean, it would really serve no purpose to Bungie to keep them. They're probably gone already.

Yea, someone's got to dig those up

I always liked how you brought up the oldest stuff Rip; that whole "Raw Sip" post comes to mind
