So last night I figured I'd get myself into this whole Ilovebees.com mess. I don't think it'd really hurt if I throw my ideas out there. Mine are a little more realistic then some that are posted right now. Ok, let me start with the basics!

1. The mods knew this was coming. Yes, they claim to have known nothing about this, which is true to a point, but they indeed knew this was happening. Bungie wouldn't have just left them hanging about this. They let the mods know that something was goning to cause an increase in the forum population. Beyond that, the mods knew nothing, leave them alone people.

2. This ones a little more harsh, but I still think true. For about the past month people have been b!tching about nothing to talk about. This could be nothing more then a way to get people to shut up. All you folks out there saying these forums were getting boring, they threw you some meat....and you're eating it up.

3. There is no way on goods green Earth that Bungie would release this game before November 9th! Lets think of this from a marketing stand point. What's a better way to boost X-Box sales around Christmas shopping season? How about release the most anticipated game EVER! Thats right folks, if they went ahead and released it on August 24th, Microsoft would lose a big jump in sales around one of the most important times of the year.

4. IF they do happen to release something on August 24th don't expect anything playable. The biggest thing I see Bungie giving away is possibly a movie from the game. I doubt that even happens though.

5. Maybe this is a sign that the new hottness around here will be unveiled? Everyone thinks this has to do with the flood in some way, maybe a FLOOD of screens? Movies? Sound Clips? Who knows.......

One more thing that tipped me off about all of this was the first postings of this. I think the trailer was out for like a week before anyone noticed it. Maybe Microsoft or Bungie decided to give us a hint and create some new accounts with this "new" mystery. Just look at the dates of when people joined.....seems like someone was just giving us a heads up!

Go ahead and flame or agree....I was just throwing something out there.....thanks for reading!

ditto on everything you said, different to my theory which I said earlier, but just as probable... plus would anyone honestly want them to rush into an early release... If they really are this close to completion then I'd rather wait a couple more months and get as bug free and polished a game as Halo 1

WEll about marketing thing. There has been so dry season of games particulary 1st person shooters so the first Good game(s) that comes out are selling well for sure(doom 3). there is great games cominging on november so id they would release it early they would sell it more and later on pople would still buy it (christmas).

But I DON'T They are going to release it early that just doesn't make senes game is NOT ready and even if it is They can't mass product it fast enough to Aug 24.

I'd have to say i agree, no demo, no early release, maybe no movies or shots either. I've been reading other non-halo related forums discussing the ilovebees ARG and on one the person who supposedly set up the account for Bungie for ilovebees.com did it 3 months ago. Also he said there were about 26 pages involved totally and that the countdown has to do with the ARG not Halo 2 info. Now none of this may be true but from reading his posts i'd have to say that i believe him.

I totally agree with you i have thought this all along. I think that the first countdown was when the beta testing ends and the second countdown was to this information spreading. The last one would be alot of screens or movies being released but never a full game or even a demo.

sounds believable, although the problem is that if you're right, then their won't be any news for a couple of weeks, which means that there are going to be some very paranid and annoyed guys on this forum

You're quite right. It's highly doubtful that Bungie/Microsoft would leave us all hanging after something like this comes up.

That sounds about right.

IMO - Absolutely no chance of an early release or a demo. I'm sure there is a slight chance that they might release a movie or some cool screenshots - but definitely nothing interactive.

Don't take what I've said as if I don't want anything - I'm still hoping for a demo or even an early release - I just realise that there's a very slim chance or either consider the time of year (for the release) and what Bungie have supposed to have said about demos (remember when the first Halo demo was released - in the UK it was on about Issue 5 or 6 of OXM).

If I'm wrong at all I will definitely put my hand up and say I'm wrong (that's if I'm not to excited to, that is! :D)

Halo might be a finished game right now, but even if it's done their still going to do two months of bug testing. Bungie makes mistakes so their problably sitting on a big soft couch in their studios playing H2 to work out all the bugs. I think that all this ilovebees crap is the new hotness.

Do you mean its saying that the new hottness is coming? Cause new hottness technically refers you being able to create chapters and such again.

MAYDAY MAYDAY MAYDAY
black beach, nothing but sand and darkness. Sometimes, in the distance, dry lightning: in the flash I see pieces of the wreck around me, the spars and rigging of my brain

Take a deep breath.

Survival Key #3: How Badly Are You Hurt?

Mentally, subject is confused and disoriented.

This is my web page mostly dedicated to beekeeping. I have been beekeeping for seven years and I?m still learning. I have three hives and I produce and sell pure and natural honey (unheated and unfiltered, unlike grocery store honey.) Click here for more about Margaret's Honey.

I keep slipping in and out of consciousness.

Physically, subject is paralyzed but moving.

Okay.

What the hell does THAT mean?

Held down: yes. As if strapped to a table. Could I be in traction in some sick bay, some hospital ward?

Not necessarily one of ours.

But at the same time, parts of me being moved around, emptied out. As if under general anaesthetic, dimly conscious, half-aware as the surgeon cuts off my feet and sews them onto my shoulders. She opens my head with a medical hammer and sand spills out.

I WANT TO DIE I WANT TO-

-no.

never that.

This is what I just got off the website....I don't know if its been posted before. Sounds like someone is hurt like hell. Reminds me of how f'd up Kelly and Linda where at the end of First Strike. Interesting, hints about other Spartans?

The part about them making an account, you are right, that first post seems way to...strange. It doesn't fit in, and it sounds like they were just trying to bait us, because contrary to belief, no one had noticed it.

Exactly, and by having no one noticing it I think some "high ranking" people were shocked. Usually us Bungie fan heads are really attentive and would pick something like that up. Guess we're letting our guard down. I guess all we can do right now is wait and see what goes on today.

ESRB gave Halo 2 a rating, and THEY ONLY RATE COMPLETED games. No matter what anyone says. Think of it, what dimwit would rate a uncompleted game anyway?

That's a good point? But where do you want to go with it? So what if it's completed? Are you insinuating that they will release it early?

There was stuff to talk about but now that's all in the past.
Bungie is not going to release anything that is a demo or a clip from the game.Bungie should keep releasing stuff about the campain and the bot issue.

I actually talk to a couple of the moderators fairly regulary, and no, Bungie never gave them squat about it. The moderators leave it alone, because it was in a Halo 2 video, and it might have something to do with Halo 2 - But I'm sure they are getting irritated with the threads that get repeated every 20 seconds. Bungie did, as you say, "Leave them Hanging"

I have to disagree with you on one thing Jim, my first point. Do you remember how the people over at the Penny Arcade forums reacted to the Weekly update being put over there? How the mods went ape -blam!-? I dont think Bungie wanted that to happen over here, that's why I think the mods DID get a heads up.

oooo and yay!! you know who I really am!

Well when the thing went up at first, the mods I talk to said they had to technically leave it alone because it was in a Halo 2 video, and it wasn't too bad before either. Now as you will notice, many many threads are being locked and deleted, because people are going crazy with it.

That and people aren't putting any real thought into what they have to say about this whole thing. Bungie fourm users need to realize that this isn't the flood, DONT post your stupid -blam!- here. Think things out, this really could have some implications on H2. The more and more I think about it, the more I believe this is just a big marketting ploy.
