I don't mean to beat this in the ground but.... The bees that Margaret uses are Russian "Yugo" Bees which are genetically altered bees. And as foxhound said on unfiction, these bees were genetically altered to be resistent to varroa mites. So why are her bees having problems with them??? Just a little something that was pointed out to me.
linky for Yugo Bees

Well i think we all know that. But why would they go to the trouble of telling exactly what kind of bees she uses. Which for that matter were developed for the reason in which she cant make honey. I have an idea involving Sgt. Johnson but ill keep it to myself for now. :-)

1. ALL ilovebees discussion must take place in New Mombasa. ILB threads started in any of the other forums will be locked. Note that I said locked, not moved.

Number one rule, buddy. ALL discussions pertaining to I Love Bees are to be allowed in New Mombasa, and only New Mombasa.

As long as it's not repetitive, that is.

WOW someone woke up a little cranky today. Anyway this will be locked now because it isnt on topic at all. I just felt that this piece of information was something worth mentioning especially since there havent been any threads on it. Seeing as many feel that the varroa mites represent the flood, and the bees are supposed to be resistent, i felt there may be some connection between a cure for the flood not working or something like that.
