ok i have a halo problem, and i dont know what to do so i turned to the forums. now my pc meets all requirements for the game. my processor speed is 900mhz i have windows xp professional. 256 ram and a nivida geforce4 mx440 64mb with agp8x. and the geforce4 mx440 64mb is on the fully compatible list of cards for halo. i also have the latest drivers from nvidia. but when i start the game and try to play it my background is all choppy and cut up and i cant see any of my modles. like i cant see any vechiels, guns, or characters. all i see is the map terrain and buildings and my HUD, i would really like to play halo so does any one know how i can correct this problem?

Thanks

OK, your barely within the minimum specs but this is similar to my old crappy box so here is what you do. Go into the video setup and take all of the setting down to minimums or turn them off. Set the resolution to 600x800 at the max, and set refresh rate to 30FPS. Open the properties of the Halo Icon and add -useff to the end of the command line. That should take you down to the lowest settings. Landscape will be dreary, but it will be playable.

You should always try and have 1.5 times the minimum specs if you want to be able to play with no problems on the low settings. Minimum specs are just that, the minimum needed to play the game no play it well.

a reinstall may help if a file is corrupt.

If not, your computer just might not make the cut. the game wasn't ported that well, so it takes a top of the line system to run halo really well. With that processor speed, you may experience lag during single player, as well as multiplayer. Either buy a new computer, or build one yourself (ask more experienced people about that).

You may just need a new graphics card to fix the model problems. Somewhere in the $200 range will give you some fair results. Ask Sexy Legs Davis about that.
