Ok i was readin some one elses post and it got me thinkin...
I read the books but it was a while ago so feel free to correct me if i said somthin noobie

Ok for starters we all know that the Forrerunners built Halo for studding the flood. We also know that there are more than one Halo. Now the Forrerunners are so smart than they have to have a reason for the size of the ring, wouldn't they? i think they would and i think it would be the siz of THEIR planet. Maybe they were too cocky and they thought they wouldn't have to worry about the flood swarming their planet. Then it did and thats why they are extinct.
Just a thought might be crazy but whatever :P

Here's a theory that is a little out there. Maybe the forerunners are humans and the covenant came from the future in order to stop the humans from acheiving technological superiority. Think about it if the humans ended up making the technology that the covenant use and the covenant come from the future then maybe the covenant want to stop the humans from doing something to them.

Maybe the grunts are the forerunner but the higher class choose not to accept that and think something else is the forerunner. Maybe in
HALO 2 the grunts will rise up and with the help of the humans overthrow the rest of the covenant and bring peace to blah blah blah, you know the rest.

The forerunners built halo to try to create a perfect race. But it went wrong hence the flood, so then they used halo to try to study the flood and find out what went wrong. that is the porpuse of halo.

I'm sorry, but I didn't really get what you were trying to say in your theory. How does the ring's size relate to their homeworld or the Flood?

I personally think that the Forerunner is connected to the humans in some way, and that they are extinct.

Also, don't keep bumping your topic, unless you got something to say.

sry for bumping..i meant that the halo ring was the size of there homeworld and that the flood went horibly wrong so the ring surrounded there planet and basically reeked havoc, in turn killing them all...yes they may be related to the humans....the pyramids could be pointing to more rings :-)

Maybe When all of the rings align they point to the true weapon that the covenant are looking for. Maybe when the rings align they point to earth. Wait that does sound kinda stupid, but hey you never know.

And yes I have seen the eight minute demo but maybe the grunts don't know that they are forerunner (for some reason) and the eight minute demo happens before they find out. Hey, I'm just trying to open some new angle so that we can have an intelligent discussion.

yes they are extinct.

heres an other REALLY cazy idea.
maybe all the rings are fit to different sizes so when they all come together they make a new planet...one for Earth after the covies destroy it...then the humans prefale and they have a new planet....lol wow that is really crazy

The ring doesn't fit over a planet. Well, maybe technically it could, but that isn't what it is designed to do. The ring is a world of it's own. The part that you are on during the game, is the inside of the ring, so if you fit a planet inside then it would be unlivable. Also, rings can't just come together to form a new planet.

First of all rings proll would fit on a planet...why would all the humans want to destroy it so much if it couldn't. second of all if u look up around wutever youll see your not IN halo, but on it most of the time ( im pretty sure ) the rings COULD form together even though that idea is borderline crazy and stupid
