Why does everyone hate Halo 2? Maybe its because its the worst game ever next to mario.

Just browsing around the internet as usual and I have put together a list of some fun Halo 2 facts I know most fans will appreciate:

-"The Heretic" is the first and only level in the entire Halo Trilogy where any member of the Covenant, in this case the Prophet of Truth, refers to John-117 as the Master Chief.

-Originally, Bungie had planned a level after Cairo Station, in which the Master Chief would land on a Covenant ship, break in, and destroy it from the inside out.

-In Cario Station, in the airlocks at the top and bottom of the elevator platform, are three ODST bodies. This is the first appearance of the ODST armor in the Halo trilogy.

-Outskirts is the only level in all three games where there are Shadows (a Covenant heavy ground transport vehicle)

-On the level, The Arbiter, the green cryo-tubes seen in the chamber where you first fight the Flood are the same type as the cryo-tubes seen on Lockout.

-Quarantine Zone is is the only level in the Halo series where the Flood controlled vehicles. It is also the only time in the trilogy where the UNSC attacks Sentinels.

-There was cinematic cut from the beginning of "Uprising" which you would see Brutes lining up and killing Elite Councilors.

-The last sentence of Master Chief in " The Great Journey" was used as Halo 3's marketing slogan as "Finish the Fight"

-Beaver Creek is an actual creek and forest near Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

-Originally, Burial Mounds was to be the setting of the campaign level "The Arbiter."

-One piece of debris on Burial Mounds resembles the central structure in the level the Silent Cartographer in Halo Combat Evolved.

-On Containment, if you fly a Banshee high enough in the air, you can see the Library in the background

-When you throw a plasma grenade on the conveyor belt on Elongation, it won't move.

-Foundation was meant to be unlocked by completing the Campaign and by performing "Banshee Tricks."

-Gemini can be spotted in Campaign mode in Halo 2. On the level "Gravemind." Gemini is also one of two maps in the Halo series to have blue teleporters instead of green, the other map being Cold Storage from Halo 3.

-On Headlong, it's notable that the monument in the centre of the map is actually an obscured image of Bungie's "Seventh Column" symbol.

-Ivory Tower was originally going to be called Cyclotron.

-On Lockout, the beings in the green, cryo-like chambers are said to be infected Forerunners, though if you look closely, they resemble Spartans wearing Mark V armor.

-Relic's design was based somewhat on the first multiplayer map design for Halo. Also, the teleporters on Relic can be used while deactivated; simply crouch jump on top of them.

-In the early design of Terminal, the light rail train was originally going to be engulfed in flames and people inside screaming could be heard as it passed by.

-On Tombstone, a picture of the original Hang 'Em High is on the main screen in the control room.

-Turf is the only map to feature the Brute Plasma Rifle as a map default weapon.

-Waterworks, along with Headlong, are the only maps in Halo 2 multiplayer that feature a ladder.

-At E3 2004, Zanzibar was the first map disclosed to the community in Halo 2 to be revealed to the public, prior to its worldwide release.

Geez, OP...and must agree, Russell.
Other than things brought up before, take a look at the..."floor formations" (for lack of a better term) in Gravemind. There are a lot of interesting, skull-like markings on them. Clearly something Bungie folks worked on somewhat.

All throughout history great empires rise and fall. How you ask?
Two reasons:
1. Economic failure because of either inflation or socialistic programs.
2. War. Their armies were spread too thin and too far from home.

The United States has bases all around the world in "hazardous" areas and it's economy collapses it seems every 20 years. Do you really think that history won't change? Do you really think that you can run the world?

That brings me back...endless hours of playing halo 2....

I miss those days.

In the level metropolis, when the chapter "This town ain't big enough for the both of us" starts, give one of the Elites the Gauss Warthog which shows up and he'll get in the turret and shoot you.

This happens with all Warthogs and Elites in Halo 2.
