you guys must all be crazy! there is not goung to be any -Blaming!- Magnum! Bungie hasnt said anything, no screenshots, no concept art, nothing! and besids, do you realy think that the human military; hundreds of years from now will be using magnums? standard issue? not likley. i mean honestly, this is Halo 2, not james bond! it has got to be the most rediculus idea for a weapon in H2 i have ever heard.

There are alot of weapons that bungie has not said anything about, and that we dont even know about, it was in the books so i am guessing it would be in halo 2, besides a magnum is only a pistol that has a large slug, and in the military conflict it would be a good idea to have large caliber bullets

thats because naids have a practical use! flushing out covies from their little covie holes. besides, magnums would be a waste of time, space, and
a valuble weapons spot. also, how could bungie put a magnum in the game, without making ti rediculously over powered, and thus, ruining the precious balence of the game?

The magnum is rumored to be in Halo 2 because it was introduced (along with the Battle Rifle) in the book Halo: First Strike, so it has a good chance to be in the game whether you like it or not.

A coons age ago I remember a "rumour" about a new Pistol. One with bullets the size of Spartans thumbs. Again, I believe it was a rumour, but who knows? A Spartans thumb is pretty darn big.

the books are not gospel Desolation. there ficticous stories ment to fill in the plot gaps before, durring and after haol 1, not bungie giving us hints of whats to come. bungie probably lets the authors write their own stories, then makes sure they serve their purpose before printing them.

Ya, um, sure? They don't just give them a pencil and say "here, write what you want and what the hell, it'll sell". It's thought out. First Strike is based around Halo2.

i know, thats not what im saying. i just think they say "heres where we left off from halo 1. this is where the story needs to be by the end of the book." and then bungie checks it for authenticty, then prints it. but could we please stay on the topic of the magnum? cool.

I think the magnum could be a great weapon for close quarters combat. If it's in the game I'm sure I'll enjoy it. Never had much of a problem with the other weapons. None that ruined the game for me.
