Could it be possible that this is leading up to a new halo novel releasE? I mean its showing Discussions between people now. Who KNows? Just a guess...

Alot of people keep saying the next novel would be about halo 2 blah blah balh. I have this to say

Why does the new book have to b about halo 2? Theres been alot of mention of the circumference and the ONI on ilovebees, prehaps!! this could be a novel about what went on on that ship etc beforehand.

Also has anyone noticed the smiliaritys between the story of the widow, and what seems to be happening to the ai or whatvere on ilovebees, i beleive its the widow that is working on the entity on ilovebees, trying to bring it back, hence why the "queeen" calls her a spider, and the whole feet on shoulders thing. Any suggestions?

This had also crossed my mind, but at the same time I doubt theyd release a novel of Halo 2 before Halo 2 came out. We've already learned about the first few levels from First Strike (for nonbelievers, this came straight out of Mr. Parsons mouth on a video interview at E3).

Yea, but if you notice the pattern:
1. Fall of Reach = Before Halo
2. Halo: The Flood: = Halo
3. First Strike = After Halo But Before Halo 2
4. New Book = Halo 2
This means that the next book needs to be about Halo 2. But Bungie wouldn't publish the book before the game.... so i disagree.

I would love it for another Halo book to come out, but it probably won't happen because it would probably tell too much of the story. But I saw a thread somewhere on TeamXbox which said August 24 was going to be the date a new Official Xbox Magazine was supposed to come out.

Possible? Yes. It's always possible with Bungie. But the guide thing isn't really the story. And, anyway, there's a huge difference between two weeks and 3 months.

Halo 2 is going to pick up where Halo left off. That is to say that First Strike SHOULD be included in Halo 2, if perhaps only by a cinematic or a couple levels. This being said, a Halo 2 book would have to pick up about halfway through the game, which isn't likely. Chances of new book being released before Halo 2 = slim to none.

I would hope the novel has allready been written and a little after H2 comes out they will publish it, allthough i think it would be better to be about H2 because the ILB thing is something bungie needs to explain, and we will probably learn a little about the cirumference in H2 novel

First Strike takes place after Halo and during Halo 2.
Halo 2 picks off right after Halo, and FS fills in the gaps.
(MC didn't get his new armor in FS but he does in H2 before he gets to Earth)

No he gets his armor in FS, from the same place that the other spartans got theirs. The one place cant remember the name, where DR. Halsey was

They will make a new novel, to show what happens during the game, with all the other marines, grunts, etc. They just have to.

the spider is a machine. there are numerous references to the spider keeping whoever alive, and it says that the spider was just a tool, and that the spider fixed some of her memories, thet the assasin deleted. i think it refers to kellyas her though.

yeah i figured some of the book first strike would have to be in halo 2, besides how would people that don't enjoy reading understand how he's suddenly back at earth, (STOP READING NOW POSSIBLE SPOILER FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN"T READ FIRST STRIKE) getting to capture that flagship and battle back to earth :D

The possible excerpts didn't centre around the Master Chief. So maybe the novel is set on Earth or somewhere else, focussing on other characters during the time Halo: CE or First Strike takes place. Or maybe it takes place years before and these ONI guys find something out about this "Troy".

Lets say we are told about something in halo 2? We are told "Oh this happened blah balh" But we arent told the full extent of what happened, and lets say it happened before halo 2 began, now bungie didnt have enough time to explain it in the game as it would take too long, which is the wonder of the halo novels, they tell us everything bungie wanted to tell us, but didnt have time to tell. now if there is gonna be another novel before the release of halo 2, it might be about what this widow, and queen are, but wont give away any of the halo 2 story. People who think its stupid cos it doesnt centre around the chief etc, Stop whining, oh no!! Neither does the ilovebees site, it centers on halo, but not on the chief. So quit whining.
