Halo 1 & 2 for PC

So I have Halo CE v 1.0.9.620. My halceded.exe file is also 1.0.9.620. I go to Internet in Halo CE multiplayer and I can see my server, however am unable to join. I cannot see the server in LAN

The problem though is that no one else (anywhere in the world can see the server). On Xfire it doesn't show the server anywhere. I have portforwarded, but that still doesn't explain why it doesn't show up in LAN.

Any help would be appreciated.

Something smells fishy...

If you are behind a router, cable modem, or DSL modem you might need to forward ports.

http://portforward.com

Also what version of Windows do you have:
If you have Windows 7 you should say. It has a more complex firewall.

The only time I got LAN working on Halo 1 PC(CE) was when I created an adhoc P2P connection which then allowed others nearby to join the game.

I suggest using the latest haloded applicaiton (v1.9). with Halo Custom Edition you just need to update the game to v1.9. You should be able to create a server that would appear on the Gamespy server list.

If your ports are forwarded and Halo 1 PC and haloded are "allowed" through the Windows firewall then you and anyone else should see your server.
