Do you know you can jump between bridges? All you have to do is this:
* Go the the edges of the bridge (where the doors are)
* Look near the glass inbetween the bridges, there should be a small obstacle near it (like a pillar
* Jump onto the lip of the bridge, then onto the pillar
* Then jump onto the rim of the glass and slowly walk to where the gap gets narrower
* Then jump across
I'd also think about going back and looking for some other useful weapons in the previous rooms.
Whoa, SPARTAN_3920, Good stuff!! No, I did not know you could cross bridges. Can you go the other way, too, and avoid some encounters? I agree that better weaps are needed.
Sniper109, I am almost to AotCR on Heroic; so I am not your Legendary expert. However, I can tell you two things with confidence:
1.) It is possible to take out Hunters with a Plasma Pistol (I've done it on Normal); but it takes a lot of patience, a lot of plasma, and a lot of dodging. On Legendary you might have to go through several PPs to take down a Hunter (if you choose that method).
2.) I wouldn't even touch an M6 (human pistol) for most of my walk through Normal (plasma pistol was my favorite); but that was just me being stupid. The M6, with its scan-to-hit, 2x zoom and powerful bullets, is becoming more and more vital to me as the difficulty increases. I have heard some say that it is MANDATORY equipment for beating Legendary. I suggest you go find one; even if you have to restart the level.
So, what I would do:
1.) Retrace my route and get an M6 (and/or sniper rifle), if possible.
2.) If successful at 1., take out anything close on my own bridge, then snipe the Hunters with M6 or S2. Then continue working across my bridge.
3a.) If not successful at 1., restart level and make sure I had the pistol/rifle at the bridge OR...
3b.) If feeling extremely masochistic, try with what I've got. The problem is that I assume there is at least 3 dropship loads of grunts, jackals and elites on my own bridge. The PP is good for grunts and jackals; but, realistically, only the rocket and grenades will take down the tough and wily elites. I would probably rocket a hunter (with the other close by, if possible, to get in some collateral damage) then finish the targeted hunter off with the PP (if the rocket did not hit a sweet spot). That leaves only one hunter on the other bridge, which is some relief. On my own bridge, I would PP jackals and grunts, and save the grenades for elites, hoping to parlay each grenade into more grenades from fallen elites. I would need to get another PP quickly, and hope to also get a needler for use against the elites at close range. If I did all this very well and came into more grenades then I needed, I'd start lobbing them at the solitary, and hopefully wounded, hunter. Sounds like a tough row to hoe....
