Ok, so I have my halo server running, people can join from direct ip, as well as I can, yet it wont show up in the gamespy listings. I do have all the port forwarding on
2302,2303,5632 udp/tcp
and the sv_public 1
ive tried everything to get it to work, even disabling my web server (running on port 80, on the same computer) and that didnt even work.
Any help would be appreciated

What version of Windows do you have?

If you have Windows 7:
I've found a problem with the built in firewall. The first time you run Haloded windows will prompt you to "allow" the application. Definitely do so. In order for Haloded to work the next time you must remove all of the Haloded ports (that have been allowed) from the Windows 7 firewall. You will have to do this every time you quit Haloded. The next time you run Haloded it should prompt you to allow the application (allow it). You want to be prompted. If you are not then you didn't remove the port from the firewall from the last time you used Haloded.

Windows Vista and XP (in my experience) you just need to allow Haloded once.

It must be your router/modem.

Make sure you disable the router/modem firewall (you shouldn't have to disable the Windows firewall).

You might not have forwarded all of the necessary ports.

I suggest you go here: http://portforward.com
Select your router/modem and then select Halo.
Go through the instructions. You might find out that you need to forward additional ports.

yeh ive already been there, but like i said i also host a webserver, which is on port 80, and there is something about port 80 being used. Both the webserver and halo server is on the same computer, and i did try disabling the webserver with no luck.

I don't know but just a guess: it could be a port conflict of some sort.

I suggest to install and run Haloded on a different computer.
