i was just thinking about how i enjoyed halo 1 and halo 2 a whole lot more than halo 3 and halo odst. this is because i didnt really get into halo until right before halo 2 came out. but now i always look for info on the game before it comes out so nothing is a surprise when im playing. so i knew everything about 3 and odst. some of my favorite surprises in halo would be the flood in halo ce and playing as the arbitor in halo 2. so my question is before the game came out did bungie reveal these things?

This is actually the stupidest thing ever posted on B.net:

Why does everyone hate Halo 2? Maybe its because its the worst game ever next to mario.

I don't truly understand your question, but before Halo: CE ever hit the Xbox (and before Microsoft), here is what the game looked like very early into development:

Pre-Xbox Halo

Bungie reveals next to nothing about their stories. What's the point in designing a story with some depth to it if you're just going to reveal everything to the public beforehand?

The greatest Halo moment for me was in CE, when I first encountered the Flood. That Marine laying on the floor all spooked out gave me a chill I'll never forget. I had no idea what was happening but it scared the crap out of me.

I was also surprised about the Arbiter because I didn't watch the cutscene. Suddenly, I had a sword and hoofs, cool stuff.

I don't understand what you're trying to say.

Playing as an Elite was revealed by a French version leak.

I also didn't get Halo: CE until after Halo 2 was out for a few months.

However, I do not recall Bungie ever leaking any information about Halo or Halo 2's campaign prior to release.

Hell, we didn't even know if we would be able to play as Elites in Halo 3 prior to release.
