experts, your opinion on programs that "free up ram".

I guess this has to do with a memory issue for Halo? Because this is a Halo forum.

I've never heard of a program that "frees up" ram, but you can compress all your games and other things, so that they take up less space on the harddrive.

Freeing up RAM has more to do with the native memory manager that WIndows uses than anything else. By comparison with other OS's, it sux ass. Plain as day.

yah usually those programs dont do anything and u just get a lot of spyware, and if u have 512mb of ram or more u dont need to free up ram

yeah. it cant really work well, im sure. just go out and by 512 mb or more of ram and youll be fine. like me, who is just about to get a gig of corsair ddr400 xmspro :)
