halo 2 still the best game in the series. long live halo 2.

Dam, I miss the old days playing halo 2 with my old brothers in arms. Thank you my old friends for giving me this account, I shall continue our legacy.

It doesn't matter if they don't have mikes. It makes no difference.

Everyone is entitled to their own wrong opinion.

I'm part of the Bungie.net Minecraft group/server called SeptaCrafters
We're a Bungie.net group that goes to our very own Bungie server. Most players are from the Halo community either off Bungie itself or through word to Halo friends.

Its mic not mikes....

people without mics makes it harder for them to call out places. thats about it.

Halo 2 for Life!

Techincally they are called headsets (according to xbox), not mikes, or mics. You can call them mics, or mikes it doesn't matter (see below from Wikipedia):

A microphone, colloquially called a mic or mike, is an acoustic-to-electric transducer or sensor that converts sound into an electrical signal.

This is actually the stupidest thing ever posted on B.net:

Why does everyone hate Halo 2? Maybe its because its the worst game ever next to mario.

"The most annoying thing lately is your forum post"

LOL, You know people are going to go for the out of place option like that one.

And no, people that abuse the headset are the most annoying. Like 12-year olds, people that play gangter rap garbage and think they are cool and people that think the voice mask is funny as hell (which it is to a certain degree).

But hey, they are all a mute away so it's no big deal.

This is the average H2 Fanboy.

50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

Most annoying are quitters. When i am on my xbox original, i dont have a mic for it so i play mic less. And even then, people dont talk much on Halo 2 nowadays unlike Halo 3.

Not for me. For me I'm more annoyed by the people with communicators screaming down their headsets more than I am complete silence.

People without headsets are noobs who can't afford decent material and should go and get one so they can talk online! It ruins gameplay and teamwork if you can't communicate.

How about some people aren't rich or have family members that steal from them or just break there stuff for fun? I have a mic but my cousins steal from me all the time and mindlessly break my stuff. Pretty soon I won't be able to afford them anymore. So that'll make me a noob?

....You can't expect people to keep buying a piece of crap headset that keeps breaking down every few months. They are not built to last, plus we are in a recession "in the us" so some of us can't afford to buy a headset right now.

Besides not having a headset does not ruin gameplay or teamwork. You don't need voice communication to have good teamwork. A good gamer knows how to communicate with his or her teammates without voice communications in a game.

I guess it doesn't really bother me that people don't have a headset. I have one but never use for talking, just listening. The people that do have them and use them seem to annoy me more, they never shut up, and most of the time they are talking about stuff that has nothing to do with the game.

So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.

Halo 2 for Life!

Yes Halo 2 still has team chemistry you just need to know the regular players and have good friends that will play big team with you or be able to work with others that you dont know to achieve a win i.e. asking who is good with sniper, who wants tank , everyone on offense go left rush that side, who's playing defense? ect, and knowing that (for a 8 on 8 big team battle) there needs to be 2-3 defenders (as spawner's can help with def. if in trouble) and 5-6 offense (not everyone can go off. if trying to win a game generally). This is why mikes are important so others know what is going on and team chemistry can be established so a win can occur (not having a mike = 90% more difficult to establish team chemistry).
