I love playing Halo 2 online. I love the amount of pleasure that can come from a great game with some great players. I also hate the jerks that ruin it for everybody else.

When I say that, I don't mean somebody that gets upset, or somebody that happens to be kind of jerkish, we all get that way, and those guys are more fun to just beat and make them more upset.

No, I hate the people that are either TRYING to ruin it for everybody else, cheating, or Racists. I really dislike racists.

I've been cheated against, I've sent emails to h2cheats, i've seen modders banned, and I know that Bungie is doing something to make everything better.

Good Luck, and Thank You to all of you.

I dont know why it happend but i think he might have already lost his rank but it didnt update so when you won it probly updated. I also have a question when I encounter modders they say they will just get thier other accounts if they get banned and mod again. Can bungie do anything to fix this?

wow bungie, in every update you say " cheaters will get banned.. we are bannning them all the time, we know when you cheat". i wouldnt be suprised if the autoupdate comes out and the cheating is still not fixed.
im a lvl 33 team slayer and lost my 34 because of modders. anyways, every singe game on warlock, turf or sanctuary has modders in it... yes u heard me, every single game. i know how to tell if its a new map or not before it configures the game but sometimes your matchmaking system just locks me in before i can quit out.
and quitters.. omfg!!!! they are just as bad as modders.. i mean.. jesus christ. i would beat the -blam!- out of them if i met them.
why does everyone keep complaining about standby? i havent gotten standbyed once since the update and im playing with lvl 30-40.
its really funny how young kids that can't even hold the controller properly in their tiny hands have mods and go " OMFG YOU JUST GOT FREAKING OWNED N-WORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" in the highest voice ever. and after that they send you a friend request just because your a higher lvl. i get like 20 friend requests every day just because im a high level and those high voiced kids go" omg your a 33!!! how do u do that? can i be your friend? im really cool!!!" those things get really annoying... isnt M (Mature) printed on the front of the box? how do they get their hands on halo 2? i also come across children who say" SHUT THE HELL UP YOU NOOB, ILL FREAKING OWN AND YOUR MAMA 50-0!!!" after i say " hi, hows it going guys?" sometimes i just laugh like hell because they are so funny. then they curse me out even more. once the childs mother came in the door and shouted at the kid for using those words.

Dude Bungie I love you guys. i mean im going to be a game designer and all this stuff that u are doing for xbox live was probaly way harder then even creating halo 2!!!!!!!!!!!! without u guys busting your butts to come out with updates to fix the cheaters and to please everyone with new maps even though i think the old maps rule... go lockout. I can't wait for the xbox 360 and halo 3. the twists you are going to put into it and then the awesome multiplayer combined with awesome graphics i think im gonna miss some school days for that game.

For my 3rd post...i'd like to say Bungie...you might as well check all the leaderboards...half the people are not legit at all...they have all boosted

yes! finally someone else notices what i have noticed. 50% of all people on the leaderboards boost.

So if you have a modded xbox but don't mod games you just have it modded for custimization, convenience etc. and a person dosn't have a any mods whatsoever for halo 2 they will still get banned. If that is true i think that is total bogus.

Plus if the update does bans ppl with modded 'box's your gonna lose a lot of ppl in the Halo 2 Live community. Believe it or not there are ppl out there that are "good" modders and don't cheat they just have there box modded for convenience, personalization, and for just plain having fun tinkering with their stuff.

that's a good thing about the "im just a noob?" becuase i've been told by people that killed me once by chance, "oh you got owned noob" and in fact they were level's lower then me. It might just be me, but if i'm 6 levels higher then the guy, that makes him in-a-sence the noob.

But it's good to also know you guys are working on cheating and trying to do something (or so it seams) about the large amount of rude people online. Because I hate it when people on my team, or thier team will say something like...

"Oh ur mom's in my pants." or stuff like that, I've had it with their damn mom jokes. so whenever someone gives me a "mom joke" i just say, "my mom's dead" that usually gets them... Except for this one guy who replied with, "Yeah, becuase I banged her to hard."

so yeah, I really hate people who go to extreme limits to make other people's gamming experience less fun. But I guess it's their loss, they could've used that time for something more inportant then making fun of someone you played one game of Halo 2 with online, and you they know they'll never see you in their life. so, what does it matter to them?

That's my opinion.

i agree with rocket magnet. i mean, why punish the innocent for something others have done? it might be hard to single out cheaters, but this is bungie, and bungie rules!

p.s. nice signature

Who benefits from cheaters?
Why would they ban cheaters when it makes them money?
I beleave Frankie or someone else said there are over 10,000
cheaters on halo2....
10,000 x 60 dollars per year = at least $600,000 DOLLARS! per year
but the amount of cheaters im guessing is more around the range of 20,000................
that would make the grand total
1.2 million dollars a year!!!!!!!!1
now seriously it might be the right thing to do to ban them, but do you think The video game branch of microsoft is just gonna ban people who make them possibly 1.2 million dollars a year?? Face it people..... these arent video game lovers that you worship, They're money grabbers!

Dont beleave the things they tell you of how hard it is to stop cheating or to ban someone! Frankie buys time so the honest players will keep sending in the money....whilst keeping the cheaters from being banned... if they start to lose fair players accounts they will start to ban people as easy as butter He even admits it that we are not anonymous when it comes to cheating.........so why have they waited to ban the bulk of people for so long... Money ....
do the math people, you've been hoodwinked!

I found this person's case very funny.. I mean all you legit players are crazy to spend 720 dollars a year on XBL [/sarcasm] ..Please do some research before you post :D. As I'm from Europe, I believe that is the yearly cost, and most use trial cards.

Hey Frankie, if someone decides it's a good idea to send you a bunch of friend requests with voice messages where he's telling you how much he doesn't like you for kicking his ass in Team Training (IconicLancer), and you report each of his voice messages, does the report for the voice message hold more ground than any of the other feedback you can leave? I don't suppose the voice message is sent to Xbox Live when I report it......is it?

I mean, you have the evidence right there...proving that the person is an idiot... unlike leaving feedback for "cursing and lewdness"

frag seek 2,
ah i see somebody likes to poke fun at typing errors rather than talking about the real issues.. but thats ok, maybe you werent smart enough to realize it was a accident... and realizing, that what i meant .. the numbers were quite close to being correct. do the math, or maybe your just a microsoft slave trying to bring up an argument.

*Starts a slow clap*

well done guys. you probably don't get too many people telling you how much they appriciate what you're doing. but i certainly do. those cheaters and modders need to go, so thanks for your hard work!

i have to agree with you completely about the problem of profanity in-game. i'll through a few "well f***"s and "g** d*** it"s when i get killed, but some of the trash that comes out of these 13 year-olds is rediculous! i mean come on! and the older teenagers too! those type of people have relax! it especially cracks me up when some kid splurges out lines and lines of profanity at me and others, then sends me a friend request when i beat him! or when a new friend starts doing it. that person gets removed real quick i can tell you!

a quick question: i know you already said before that these last 5 maps were the end of the downloadable content, but is it possible we could see some more content later? i do realize you guys and girls have pumped out more downloadable content than most other games but Halo and Halo 2 seem to have the most replayability in the history of games.

If you join matchmade with a party that cheats you get banned right because then you get high level from cheating and thats wrong.
But if you join alone and come in the same team as cheaters then you should not get banned.

First time poster.
I just thought it was about time to say that I appreciate the latest daily update and enjoyed reading it and also enjoyed the tone and direction it implied.
I have a love hate relationship with Halo 2 on live. Like Golem and the ring I sometimes think I love and hate the game as I love and hate myself since I keep playing it despite the seeming reality that a majority (and I mean majority and not that over used vocal minority slogan) of Live users seem to me immature and racist asses.
I still love the game very much. And as a long time PC online gamer I honestly feel that Halo 2 is the BEST online multiplayer video game ever. It is that fun and it is that balanced, overall.
So while I have thought about posting in the past some of the complaints about cheating and super jumping and the like, I have not. But I do think I should take the time to thank all at Bungie for showing such love (and I mean that word) for their product and their fans that they keep working hard to make it better and the experience more just even after they have made their cash. No other video game designer would ever be so dedicated to their product and their fans as Bungie seems to me. I can tell it isn't just "about the money" with them and that they really care about this stuff and want to make a fair, just and fun experience for us.
So I wanted to just take this moment and say "thanks for everything" and save my minor complaints about what is probably the most polished multiplayer game ever for some other time or better yet, just sit back, and watch them be looked at and fixed as best you guys can anyway in the future.
Keep up the good work and I will happily shell out my money to buy any map packs, games, clothes and such just to show how much I appreciate it in my own little way.
Keep up the good work and I will keep playing.
Still to be honest I think I am addicted and can't stop anyway but that is a whole "class action law suit post" in itself.
;)
But seriously thanks a lot to "Frankie" and all those invloved.
Dwayne Ferguson
General Grudge

Guys, and lady. If the screaming and cursing annoy you, THEN MUTE THEM! BUNGIE gave us the option, use it you noobalious tark. As for the guys at Bungie great game against Korea. Keep up the extreme updates.

What’s the deal with this 7 second respawn time? I spend more time in respawn then the game, granted I shouldn’t die, its hard not to when 2 guys are shooting me while I defend the flag, while my partner goes and gets there, then gets double teams half way back.

Also is there a forum somewhere where people can post gamertags of modders? And the game they got modded, so other people could be aware of there pathetic noob skills.

As for what Cobra8288 said on Posted: 7/15/2005 10:43 PM:

Ok think abou tthe 10,000 Cheaters, but think about the millions of skilled players who don't want to play because its no longer a game to respawn and get snipe from 300 feet in the air. The customers that are fair players pay a lot more than bunch two-faced losers, who can't point a gun.

He gets attention (and I say "he" with all deliberation – since girls are almost invariably pleasant – and they have to put up with the most abuse) and he gets off on making you mad.

Wow... didn't you guys (Bungie) play against pms? I have had the luxury of playing against them twice, and they talk more crap that a 14 year old boy on crack. Maybe the didn't have the balls to trash talk Bungie in the humpday challenge. Well, maybe they do actually have balls after listening to them.

Maybe they felt like they had to talk so much crap because we beat them so bad.

Actually, this post is less about PMS and more about how incorrect your statement about 'girls' is. I do agree that they catch the most crap. Horny teens trying to flirt over xbox live is the funniest thing I have ever heard. The $50 for live is worth that alone. But then the usual jerk asks how big their ta-tas are... I do have sympathy for the women of live, but not when they insist on talking smack when getting horribly beaten in a game.
