That's very creative Terran Grunt. I like it. Any more?

there shold be a level when you go onto the covies homeworld and then you kill every covenant on the planet. then you blow up the planet and leave to go destroy the halo rings.then something goes wrong and you have to stay on the halo ring to blew it yourself but also means you die with the ring where the leader of the flood is at! what do you think? nice isn't

I think it would be impossible to kill every Covie on the planet. Mabey kill the leader or some main base with the leaders, with the remaining Spartan's (if there are any) or Spartan-III's? Anyway, not a bad idea.

The setting is a covenant cruiser is holding orbit over an Earth city.(maybe Moscow or Sydney) This could be used for many different game types. Lets say its Elites vs. Spartans. Spartans have to get into the cruiser and steal covenant info. from the bridge/blow up the bridge. Covenant have to defend the cruiser at all costs, and there is plenty of ammo on board. Or it could be the opposite. Covenant must get into a human building and retrive UNSC intel. This map may be a little large for MP, but its an idea none the less.

i dont know if anyone said, this, but there have been alot of good ideas, i dont have time to read, and, well, here it goes:

description: have a valley where there are two base on each side built into to the canyon sides, and there is bridge that connects the two bases over the valley, but it can be destroyed. Under the bases is an underground entrance which leads from a cave under the base where a river ends, in the middle of the river that connects to caves under the bases is a lake. Now, in the valley is wooden architechs like, wooden/ bambo made towers, rope bridges, bunkers, fox holes, and there is a wooden bridge that can be destroyed that goes over the lake. On the solid land in the valley is many paths that go in miscelenanious directions but still gets to the opposing base. On each side of the base is two elevators that lead to the top of base where the entrance is(also the entrance of the destroyed bridge) on the sides are cliff paths that lead next to the elevators(for sneaky entrances). Also, there is small bases (like the bases in blood gulch) in spots in valley to geet supplies or health.

bases: h-pad for banshee which is beside sniper tower above second floor, the second floor is where th weapons are at organized (like on the pillar of autumn in campaign mode) on the first floor is the ground vehicles and that floor is a garage, which is also the the main entrance from bridge. the elevators on the sides are just large enough to to fit tanks in (if bridge is destroyed) or take cliff paths with smaller vehicle (ex: warhogs or atvs), past the garage is where the flag is held. there are turrets in front of entrance (on ledges beside elevators). and the water caves have water vehicles there if there is any.

game: ctf
vehicles: any
respawn: second floor

Another idea i had was there is an old, ruined castle on top of a hill in England or some where. This is an assault/defend map. One team defends the castle from the other team(s), who all start out at small bunkers at the bottom of the hill. This hill is somewhat forested, with a few scattered boulders for cover. It is either light fog or raining so snipers can't pick off every one before they even have a chance to make it to the castle walls. The castle has 4 levels, with archer slits and windows for sniping. The castle is in the shape of a perfect square, with towers at each corner. The assaulters can either get into the castle through the main gate on the second level, or enter through one of the holes on the first level. The first level is the dungeon and barracks where you can use torture devices and bunks as cover. The second level is the courtyard and stables where there is little cover except for the large statue un the courtyard. The third floor is the keep and the dinning hall with plenty of overturned furniture for temporary cover. The fourth floor is the top of the walls which is really meant for sniping. This map may be a little to medival for Halo 2, but I like it. The castle could be surrounded by a moat to. This map would probably be used for King of the Hill or capture the flag. Maybe you could raise/lower a drawbridge. The possibilities are endless for this map.

-Eggo, can you dig it baby?

My last idea at the moment would take place in the subways of paris or NYC. All the trains are disabled and you can board them as you please. You can go into janitors closets and bathrooms. At the stops there are pillars and benches for cover. Maybe there could be 2 seperate stations connected by one track that goes in a circle around the map (or a number of tracks), with other possible maintainence routes you can take to get to the other base. You can hide in ticket booths, behind vending machines, turn on escalators, or electrifying some tracks by pushing buttons in the control room. (this would be at the center of the level by taking a maintence route) Vehicles would serve no purpose here. Maybe this fight would be going on as covenant are bombing the city above. (lights flicker, loose objects move, small parts of the building fall from the ceiling.) This map could be used for CTF or slayer.

i keep getting more ideas. I won't build on this one much. Have a battle in a parking garage. Hey, it could happen.

As a matter of fact, I do have another idea. It stretches the limits with what might be done in Halo 2 (objective-based matches rather than simple Assault CTF).

Location: UNSC Research Facility, Jupiter
Briefing: Cloaked in Jupiter's upper atmosphere, this floating laboratory contains what is perhaps humanity's final hope. The birthplace of an unstable yet unimaginably powerful AI code-named Prometheus Alpha is the Covenant's primary target, followed by the central containment chamber where a Forerunner artifact with peculiar gravitational properties is held in stasis. Finally, the Covenant wish to gain access to the shady ONI Section 1 archives where the darkest secrets of their black ops and Forerunner research reside, sealed inside a series of coiled tunnels beneath the main labs. Covenant Elite squads with hermetically sealed spacesuits and jetpacks have already landed on the roof of the installation and are cutting their way in now. They will emerge on the operations deck, where they can open all of our locked doors that they would otherwise have to blast through. They will also have direct access to the ventilation system and an elevator that leads to the stasis control room (you deployment point) antechamber, where you will have to put up a strong defense using the machinegun we have mounted on the control panel - if this room falls, they will be free to take the artifact. Your team of Spartans will deploy in the control room of the central containment chamber, where you will have access to the ventilation system that you can use to reach the ops deck, the interior of the containment chamber, and a corridor to the AI experimentation core where Prometheus is stored. There are few wide open spaces in this station, and many "double-decker" corridors that will give whoever is on the upper level an advantage. If you can, keep them out of the ops deck and send men to defend the sealed bulkheads. Keep in mind that entering the containment chamber before the stasis field has been shut down will result in fatality within moments. Based on our studies, the movement of any Elite carrying the Forerunner artifact will be seriously hindered by its perceived weight and erratic gravity projectons. To reach the ONI archives, you must climb down through the multi-hurricane force winds buffeting the scaffolding on the outside of the installation. Even your heavy armor may not weigh you down enough to prevent the wind from picking you up out there. If they reach the archives, the Covenant will have to make it all the way down the spindle to the terminal where they can download the data. Good luck, Spartan. You will need it.

I think that a level where you are in a tunnel/ maze would be cool. It would be an assault level. all the tunnels would slope slightly upward and lead into an open area with the defenders base on a hill. The attackers would have to navigate through the tunnels and take out the defenders. It would be sweet.

This is a good thread and we should keep it going. Come on guys think of some ideas. If I can think of a few ideas I know all of you on the forums can. I know Monty would agree with me. So try and keep this topic alive. Do it for Eggo's sake! Thanks.

-Eggo, the could-be thread saver. (but probably not. I can dream though.)
