I think its a stupid idea. seriously, everyone will get it, and the game will be not such a big suprise anymore come november.

plus i dont want to spend 10+ dollars on a game ive already purchased (reserved..whatever)

who here HONESTLY TRULY wants a demo. (SP or MP)

I completely agree, demo = bad. It would only ruin the surprise, if I've waited this long, I can wait a couple more months.

"The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing." Albert Einstein
"You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty." Gandhi

No demo. The game comes out soon anyway.

I don't want a demo. You could just tell me to not go buy the demo but that wouldn't be enough. I wouldn't want anyone to buy it. I don't know why. Its something that I have against a Halo 2 demo of any kind. Any other game I wouldn't care about.

if a demo did come out, i would probably try my hardest to stay away from it. i would probably evnutally give in though. which i would regret for the rest of my life.. :(

what if its the e3 2003 level as it is was when it was shown, that ends with the "i bet you cant stick it"
"you're on" scene you wont see anything new just play it to get a feel

The only way a pre-release demo wouldn't be bad is if it was an intro to Halo 2. Like giving you some background and a feel for the game without ruining the story. It could be a battle from First Strike or something in that nature.

Moan groan and complain about the demo are yeh? Stay away from it or turn the demo on and just stare at the graphics, and in a matter of 10 seconds you'll say -blam!- it and play it.I truly want a demo so I can at least play something diffrent than Halo 1 all the time, and finally play Halo 2 in some way. And also, play Zanzibar on multiplayer would be bad for you all? Sure, you'll cave eventually

The best way to give us a demo is to give us something that everybody has seen and does not give anything away about the story. What might that be?
Zanzibar. We have all seen it we've seen it in action through tons of videos there isn't anything that we could gleen from a demo of that level that we already havn't seen before.
But that's just the multiplayer. How are you going to experience a multiplayer demo? OXM has released live enabled demos of several games (RTCW & Crimson Skies just to name a couple.) Have faith. Bungie would not be so stupid as to release a demo of the game that gives anything away about the story. A demo of Zanzibar would take the hype that we pass amongst ourselves from, "Dude! You shoulda' seen/read/watched what I found online about Halo 2. I couldn't sleep I was so excited about the possibilities." to "Dude! You shoulda seen what I did online last night in Halo 2. I haven't been able to sleep since Aug. 24th."
A multiplayer Demo I would eagerly await in the mail and get all of my friends to buy. A single player demo would be banished and Bungie knows this.

yeah, i think at first if a demo came out i would try to force myself not to play it, but eventually i couldnt hold back. . . i tihnk if they do come out with a demo it owuld be best if it is a level that wont be in the full version comming out nov 9, like someone said, were maybe its kinda like fighting in the ruins of halo so on Nov 9, things all start at earth

Uh... Bottom line... If there's a demo, and you don't want one... No one's going to make you play it.

Shishka you kcik buns. I wish that people would apply that same logic to everything in life. disturbing images on television? Change the channel. Movie too violent/-blam!-ly explicit? don't pay money to go watch it. Kids feal compelled to watch/ participate in these? Communicate better with them. Noone can make you buy, play, watch or read anything you don't want to.

a zanzabare mutlyplayer would be cool....wouldnt really ruin any surprise. i mean, people would get to try out DUAL wealding. see adjusted weapons. i mean they dont have to throw in all the new stuff. like new guns, plasma sword, etc.

nii....either way, if you dont want it, dont get it.

demo = bad,
it would spoil the surprize, like opening ur christmas presents a day early so u know wot they r.

a remake of a level from the original halo might be nice though, just to show off the changes, but not show us anything that would spoil the game (stuff we dont know yet like plot, new enemies, etc). i wouldn't mind having a 'demo' like that.

the demo would be to hard to resist for everyone. its been so long and for just a taste i would do anything to get to play the game. im sure everyone here feels the same about halo 2 the way i do even you shishcabob, you could not resist the flavor.

Even though I don't want to play a demo even if it comes out, I don't think they should release them to anyone outside Bungie and Microsoft, I don't need to log onto some Halo fansite and see Sinbad's lucky UNDERAGED kids get to play Halo 2 just cause their dad has connections to get them into that special room in E3, and just rub it in my face. Seriously, the pictures taunting me is horrible enough. A mass release or no release to any press/media/celeberities is the way to go.

ok, so you guys are saying. if you were at e3. or that FAN appreciation thingy. where they ALLOWED PEOPLE to play halo 2 multyplaery zanzabar you would DECLINE!? cause it would ruin the surprise?!?

um....no....
