This is really the wrong time to start this kind of discussion.

Go ahead- pour out your thoughts.

I said "social implication", not environmental implications.

Good news for environmentalists.

I'm going to take a leap of faith and say that this topic was created with the intention of making the opening poster sound smart.

No. I just wondered what everyone thought.

Here's my standpoint:

That could be good, or bad.

Good: Very cheap power for everbody would result in lowered utility bills and people would be able to save/spend that money however they wanted. The economy would get a huge boost. Less reliance on fossil fuels= less pollution. Less pollution= better resperatory health. Less pollution= less b.itching from environmentalists.

Bad: Cheap electricity would practically destroy the utilities industry. Chaos and striking could ensue. Taxes may have to be raised to pay wellfair for the hundreds of thousands of people without jobs.

At least obbi gave me some chance. You, on the other hand, took his side to ridicule me and make yourself look intelegent. You thought that by joining the "winning side" you could gain something. You were wrong.

Guess what? We are losing jobs already due to outsourcing. We shouldn't hold ourselves back just to keep some jobs. Hold back the progress of science and humanity.

Another bonus, my town would be dead. Everyone around here relies on the oil fields. The only reason most people are here is because of the oil and gas rigs. Lately there has been a huge boom because of the wells. Then I would move, and not have to be around all the shady oil field workers (its a stereotype, who cares?). But I guess we got along fine before all the wells got put up.

They create water instead of Exhaust, now that would be cool.

The only problem is how they design them. Why not use the old design, instead of something no one likes.. I mean that electric car they made looked retarded.

First: Which "hydrogen" tech are you refering to?

Second: A car can't power a home/city.

The one ford is making can be fitted to just about every type of car they have made.

Edit: You have never heard of the new car? Dang lol and I am not reffering to it as a power plants use but Hydrogen can be used as energy so it may happen.
