So i might be upgrading to windows 7 soon from xp. that means ill have dx10, and the ability to play halo2 on pc.

What is the halo 2 pc online community like? Are there lots of players and servers still? or should i spend my $20 else where?

Yeah. That's right. I don't have a 50 in H3. I never got Onyx in Reach. If a game sucks too much, I won't even bother trying for such trivial "accolades". Besides, I've done way more things that take far more skill and talent than anything that can be done in a video game.

The community is tiny, and the game is garbage. Your money is definitely better spent elsewhere.

This guy speaks the truth, infact I host a server only for eye candy.
picture of my server.

Its better to buy Halo 1 PC.
Halo 2 PC is soo flawed, its shouldn't even be called Halo.
its an embarrasment piece of -blam!-,
I can't believe how text can be rendered at such difficulty, that it ends up crashing the game.

The bungie.net community is the halo PC community that is renowned for being unbelieveably sucky.

Just to be clear, H2v does not have a DX10 path. It uses DX9.0 only. The myth of DX10 helped to support the lie that H2v required Vista though and wouldn't run on XP.

This is the average H2 Fanboy.

50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

YOu will have DX11. Also, the community is just drama being caused by a certian server admin.

Also, there are like 50 players on at max and like 100 unique users a day. Its not dead, but its close.

Get it only if you really want single player and havent played it on xbox for some reason.

Yes, Win7 uses DX11 so can Vista, doesn't mean his video card supports it. And like I said, H2v only supports DX9.

I search tirelessly for the secrets of the one known as the webmaster and for ling-ling's head.

You could spend your money on something better like the first Halo for PC (if you don't already have it) but if you are a halo enthusiast and really like all the halo campaigns I would kinda suggest you get H2V (just for the campagin) but its online play is a bit shoddy and its map editor is a sophisticated and not user friendly.

^ I pretty much agree. If you haven't played H2, the campaign of H2v is pretty fun, just don't expect the online play to be good at all because it isn't.

You could always mod your halo 2 campaign or custom games.

Campaign modding is very fun.
