I hear alot of people talking about playing on xboxconnect or over game spy, but i have no idea what either of these two things are! Do you have to have the pc version of halo to play or the XBOX version? Someone please explain this to me. Thanks.

Xbox connect is the better of the two (thas what i think) cause it isnt add supported, and it doesnt waste bandwidth so your Halo game lags bad. Gamespy is nice cause its customer support is decent.

Go here and read. Basically Xboxconnect and Gamespy are programs that fool your xbox into thinking it's playing on a lan, while in reality your xbox is playing over the internet. Both programs require broadband connections with high upstream and games tend to lag badly.

If you would like to play halo online, I suggest either you buy halo pc or you wait until halo 2 comes out this fall.
