I just got Halo on PC, and found the controls to be a pain in the ass. I was wondering if you knew of any XBOX controllers that can hook up and work on a computer. I saw an adapter that hooks up to a regular controller, and then hooks to your comp. via USB, do any of you know if this thing works? I don't always trust things on the internet. Any answers would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you hate the mouse/keyboard combo then PC games aren't really for you.

Try one of these. I have one and it works just fine.

Did you try it both inverted and normal? using a mouse to aim is alot easier than a joystick.

Wrong. I've said it before and I'll say it again: The mouse/keyboard is not the be all, end all of computer FPS's. It is a preference. In my case, I prefer the controller, but I do not think it is better than the mouse/keyboard. It isn't better or worse, just different. Plain and simple. Use what you want to use, but at least give both options an equal shot so you can be positive which one works best for you.

An experienced keyboard user will pwn a controller user, plain and simple.

If you like controllers then that's what a console's for. Face it, the mouse and keyboard are an intrinsic part of PCs, and as such the majority of games developed for the PC are designed to be controlled by these.

Why not just down load XBC and play there. Then you get to play a lot of people and its all with controllers. Granted you dont get the extra maps but you get to use the controller. {:/\()

What I'd like to know is why people say that controllers should be only for consoles since keyboards and mice automatically come for PCs? If a company makes a peripheral that I prefer over the keyboard/mouse, then that's what I'll go with. Same with a console...if a company makes a keyboard/mouse for a console and if that is what I prefer, then that is what I will go with. It isn't a one or the other deal...just use what you like. Neither one is better than the other. I am nothing if not flexible. I tried both and went with the one I prefer.

Although I do have to say that analog sticks on the controllers definitely let you sneak around better :).
