I was noticing that most people who have Halo PC are very bad at the Xbox version. Why is that?

HAH! you know to me playing halo PC with a mouse and keyboard is just plain easier then using the xbox controller and anyone who thinks that Halo PC is for noobs must be a noob at halo pc so go back to your X Box noobs

Shut up you idiot.

I have both, and I'm decent at both. The mouse and keyboard just takes some getting used to. I don't like the keyboard yet, but you can rearrange it to fit your own tastes. I like them both, but XBox has advantages over PC, #1 it runs exactly the same on everyones hardware. #2 It doesn't have the tendency to drop frames.

To be fair to the PC Version, It doesn't hiccup if your machine is decent enough. But you know - That gets expensive after a while. Right now I run it on a P4,2.8 - No FSB, Onboard Graphics and sound (Which is why my graphics suck) but it still runs fairly quickly - I just lose a lot of texturing.

Either version is good, But if you are used to the mouselook, it's a slightly better way of aiming, if for nothing else but the quick stop and accuracy. But the XBox controller works better for lateral movement, and sneaking past the motion tracker is damn bear impossible in the PC version ( Digital movement = NO SNEAKING)

And all you little PC or XBox heads that are about to flame the others, I want to give you a preemptive Shut- Up ; Neither version is truly superior. PC may have better graphics and (in the case of CE) more maps to play on, but you are comparing it to a game that's been on a console for 3 years. That doesn't say a lot for PC when you compare it that way.

Now I'm done...

I have both. Started with Xbox, and still like the controller much better than PC and would much prefer to campaign on Xbox. Got the PC to multiplayer, in which department the PC kicks Xbox's butt.

Thanks to the two of you who responded like natural human-beings...I just think that Halo on Xbox contributes more of a challenge than on PC and I like challenges in my games... Peace

Some people who have arthritis like me, can't use the controllers. Thats why I use keyboard and mouse because its better and doesn't cause pain in the long run.

I have xbox version and i've tried halo pc and I personally like controllers better than mouse and keyboard. however, pc kicks ass too with a pc game controller. Either way they're both almost equal

Ha, that is funny, and reminds me that I should have said something before. I work at a keyboard all day, and consequently have a tendon problem that is a close cousin to carpal tunnel. So the Xbox controller is a relief to my hands (whereas they hurt yours), and the keyboard and mouse hurt (whereas they are a relief to you). Hmm, funny.

I have played both and it al depends on what you started with I think. I started with PC and moved to X-Box and I sucked. The controls are just different and are hard to get used to after you are used to the other one.

Another example of how low, dumb, and disrespectful people like NobleNick are. Hadn't he shut his mouth up probably he wouldn't have gotten into trouble. But nope, he wants to be strong and dumb like the big macho drivers on the highway. Once again, the line of stupidity is drawn only to be crossed again, who is next? Probably him again.

Note: Go ahead and flame, you're just a waste of human flesh talking babble.

Not unless you get an analog stick to supplement the keyboard, or use an XBox or PS2 controller. Keyboards send a digital signal, meaning full on or off...

And why the hell are some of you being ignorant to each other? Chill out - iyou haven't got anything better to do than sound like idiots?

because thats why they make games on different systems. so that people with different tastes can play on what they like. and besides, that isnt exactly true... instead I would say that the PC people are less skilled at the Xbox version (probbrabbly because they don't have an Xbox y'know)... I have both, and like both for different reasons. for SP, its Xbox all the way, but for MP it's PC hands down! (Love the new stuff)... I am okay at Xbox, but am a PC god... anyway, my point is, let the PC people use what they are most comfortable with, because that is obviously what they are best at.

Personally, I am great at both games. More often than not, its Xbox players who despise Halo PC/CE, because Bungie/Microsoft "sold out", and it is "evil" because of warping and bad netcode. As well, I am only 16, and my wrists can sometimes be a -blam!- when using a keyboard for long periods of time (read like 8 hours). The Xbox controller is so friekin awesome, I wish I could adapt it to everything. It operates like a part of my own body. Warning- do not come near me in Halo xbox if I have grenades. My placement is a thing of beauty!

Hmmm Halo was originally supposed to be Mac, so that kinda shoots out the XBox Fanboy theory of selling out to the PC or Mac...

I find them both just as good, you just need to learn how to use them properly...

HALO XBOX has a feel (not just the controllers) that I just like better than the PC; character movement, combat movements and the game itself to me feels more refined than the PC version; I'm sure the PC version would have been just as good (graphically as well) if Microsoft hadn't rushed it. A brilliant marketing decision - rush HALO PC, make it a crappy game as a result, therefore making gamers who want the true HALO experience go out and buy a XBOX (me). HALO PC multiplayer is good, but too many problems to justify it me liking it better than XBOX.

And at Xero's comment on the PC players being bad XBOX players - bull-blam!-. I never owned a XBOX until a few months ago, and even before then I could pwn all of my friends on the XBOX in multiplayer matches. I'm even better now. The only problem is is that my PC skills have worn off with nonuse. =/

I wonder sometimes if people consider the fact that XBOX halo's multiplayer was desinged for broadband connection. As well the PC was made to play from 56k on up to T1 connections this sort of thing would give people a less uniform feel in multiplayer.
