<sigh> no . . . common . . . sense . . .
aug 24 is less than a month away. To go from gold to shelfs takes 3-5 weeks. Since I always believe in supporting what I spew, here's quote:

How long does it take a game to hit stores after it has "gone gold"?

Usually about 30 days. http://thesims2.ea.com/chat_07_02_04.php
The past foretells the future.
Frank has had a ton of things to put in his updates. That's because there is still work to do. If we look at Matt's Weekly Halo [1] Updates we notice that as it came closer to launch, there was nothing to talk about!
Lastly, when a game hits beta, its easily months away from hitting shelves. Especially when a company like Bungie takes testing seriously. They have to wade through all the results, comments, remarks, make the fixes, and continue with more testing. And finally, this website obviously took a long time to set up and plan (the domain name was registered well over a month ago). They didn't go to the trouble of making a puzzle just so ppl could go "hey, i think they're releasing it early!" Nope.
And for the record, when ever I get a chance, I'm gonna say it. ILB is about giving us Halo 2 story. Its not announcing anything special. The Cortana letters were the exact same thing (again, the future is unoriginal. history repeats itself). Read to be up to date on what it is.
