Tomorrow we should find out whether or not EA will be heading for XBox Live. If this happens, then hold on to your seats people, because Xbox could quickly become america's number one console. This last month, thanks to the price drop, XBox beat out the PS2 by %30 in sales, and the PS2's game selling dropped like %18. If MS can get EA on Live, by the time the Xbox 2 hits shelves, Microsoft could be sitting high in the position Sony was in when they seemingly dominated the colsole universe. This means more funding for better games. What do you guys think? Personally, I think SOny i heading downhill with their little titles deemed "halo killer" that won't hold a candle to halo 2. I'd love to see the PS2 fanboys convert to Xbox. However, I doubt we'll ever get help from sqare enix and the final fantasy series, so Sony will probably never go away as long as they keep making games based on Japanese anime. So let me know your opinions on this matter!

Although it could be a good thing for XBL and MS. I have been boycotting EA Games. I hate the fact that they refuse to put their games on Live because those capitalist bastards can't make a hansom profit off of us. Charging us a monthly fee for every title!!! But, they may get their way, and if they do, I sure as hell won't be paying for that. Xbox Live is revolutionary, it simplifies the whole process, it cuts down on costs to integrate online play, because developers dont have to provide their own servers, and they get paid for it. So, who's with me???

If you EVER mention anything even remotely tied to that piece of -blam!- movie again, I'll end your life. And yeah, EA online is gonna kick ass. I can't wait for Burnout 3 and TimeSplitters 3. But they won't even touch Halo 2....

Personally I don't care if EA comes to live - although it will help xbox. If it helps xbox, and I like the game, then I'll buy it and play it on live. I just don't see why they didn't start on live in the first place. It's a great system and lots of people are using/will use it.

Maybe XBox will outsell Ps2 on U.S. Territory, but in other countries People would support a minority Game Developer than The evil kitten killing, oil stealing, kid molesting, Lacy peterson Killing BASTARD THAT IS BILL GATES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have mixed feeling toward Bill, I use my Comp everyday but love my PS2.

I'm not Gonna stop Loving PS2 nor XBOX lets live in Peace Bob Marley style. Pass the Ganja AND AGREE HATE NINTENDO!

It's great for Xbox because Electronic Arts is one of the last stumbling blocks (in terms of sales) that the Xbox has against the PlayStation. PlayStation has exclusivity on a lot of titles and plus they had a huge jump in terms of launch. Now that most of the world knows both systems fairly well and that in terms of games and genres they're going to on a level playing field, what will be the determining factor will be the launch date and marketting. Despite PlayStation's lead, these two factors will be the controlling factor in the next generation console wars. Nintendo's next system (because it will remain out of touch) will be it's first step toward a third-party developer, hopefully exclusively for Microsoft.

I'm with you captain, I to won't buy any EA games until they start supporting live. And I seriously doubt I will ever buy a game that has a monthly fee to play it online, this is what I like about Live. I was very P'd off when Burnout 3 was turned over to EA for publishing, as I figured this meant for sure they were taking out Live combatibility. I hope what I've been hearing turns out true that they will start supporting Live, otherwise I'll be missing out on a good game, because I won't buy it without Live, I'll just maybe rent or borrow it. And I don't care for EA's sports titles anyway, but I'd like to see them support Live for them because that would be very good for the future of Xbox. I sure did like EA a lot better back in the genesis and snes days, when they weren't such a big coorporation and cared more about making good games than squeezing every penny out of our pockets as they could. And someone mentioned suare never coming to xbox, I have to agree. Sony has to know that Xbox is a huge contender and for them to think they couldn't lose their #1 spot in the market would be a just ignorance. I'm sure as xbox gains more and more of the market sony will try to buy out even more exclusives and do whatever it takes to keep the ones they have.
