Hey HBO, if you didn't know, you were talking to a chatbot and not an actual MS representative. The chat bot is designed to give responses to simple questions it can answer. Believe it, or not.

Exactly. Pretty much it has some questions in its database which it has automatic responses to. If you ask "Yes or no?" like you did, chances are it's just a random response. If you ask "Does the ESRB only rate finished games?" it probably has a quick search engine which tries to find as many of those words, in one sentence, all from its database.

Im pretty sure they are real....Read the first post made on it,the guy named roby flipped out..I also asked,on my first time, if the guy was ina cubicle..He was like I cant tell =) because Me and him had a disscussion about some wierd stuff......they are real people..trust me

So what? That could easily be edited, as he was looking for comedy. After all, all you have to do is copy, paste, and then change what you want. Not too tough, don't you think? No, they're not real. Go try and ask them "What is peanut butter?" Let's see what they say.

Dude, you are stupid, arent you?? Why would they have bots running tech support?? Seeing as they couldnt POSSIBLY program them with enough information, and plus, they said they dont take personal information, think before you post, bucko. *pointed to DualWeildin*

the bots are designed not to lie ,even if its a bot do you think that microsoft is going to lie to you .if you found out that lied you would stop buying there products and they dont want that. why dont you give them a call instead of talking to them over the internet?

People,

stop making up fake Microsoft Support Chat transcripts. It's getting very old and very lame. Unless you take a picture of you screen while chatting with their support personel you are wasting precious server space and are most likely making it up just to raise false alarms. When the game is done it's done. Just sit tight and wait.

Hey, Buddy, how do you know they're lying about them??? Your trying to look all cool like you know what your talking about, but you dont have a clue. Since when could you read peoples' minds?? I'm guessing since... NEVER. Stop accusing people of things, asswipe.

I agree; thread locked. This is a Halo 2 forum, and not a 'play with a tech support guy' forum

Guys, there are chatbots out there that answer online questions for different high-end companies (Bellsouth/Atlantic/Pacific is one of the more bigger companies doing this). Chatbots have been out there for a while now. Nobody’s ever heard of Dr. Richard Wallace??? When we stop having kids here on this forum saying “no wayz that wuz a robot, he was a people!!”, and more intelligent people, maybe they’ll understand that technology is higher than anyone thinks that it is. Companies buy chatbots to take care of booming customer service needs and not that many people are aware of it. Why hire 300 call center people when you can buy a chatbot algorithm program for about $12,000-$15,000? Kids, do your research before you go spouting off your lack of knowledge. Chatbot programs are bought by companies to give their customers the ILLUSION that they are talking to real people.

Thanks.
