1. To get an ESRB rating, a developer simply can send in the final copy, or send in a trailer or in-game footage of the game. Halo 2 involves shooting guns, killing things, and blood. So its clearly going to be rated M for Mature.

2. The game CAN'T be finished. Read the updates people! They are still working on MP and Live. And they are polishing the single player and cut scenes.

THE END

First off, and im not trying to offend you, but how do u know that that's what the ESRB needs for a rating? What if i made a sesame street game and sent them the footage of all the characters hugging but i left out the parts of the game where big bird blows off bert's head with a machine gun? How can a trailer tell them everything about the game? Additionally, what if Frankie is in on the plan and is deciving us with the updates to make us think it's that far behind but actually it's done? Im not trying to argue with you but only trying to promote open mindedness.

If the content for halo 2 won't change until release, an ESRB can be had. I believe there will be no more content changes to halo 2. There maybe gameplay tweaks, there maybe new multiplayer levels implemented, new textures, skyboxes fixed, yada yada, but the content associated with ratings has been finalized..

OK?

The Updates could be part of the plan.

Finally someone gets it right. People that think the game is finished are just stubborn and don't want to face the facts.

Amen isn't religious, it means "let it be said," it's a real word.

People, honestly, we can all have our opinions, but until this whole ilovebees thing occurs, namely the next update and then August 24th, let's not put each other down because of it.

Firstly, I want that game. Secondly, my mother could have told you that Halo 2 was going to be rated M.

I've got photoshop. I wonder if I can get a zoom-in on that Halo 2 limited edition case in the pic of the trunk, and see if it's got a rating on it.

NO MORE AMENS PLEASE!!!! I can't take it any longer, (Despite my name hehehehe, Chaplain = Military Counselor, but also a religious advisor) I'm an atheist...

Uh, I think there is quite a possibility that Halo 2 could come out on August 24th, but then again, I think there is even way more possibility it will come out November 9th. The main thing here is, we just have to let this role around, they won't release a Halo 2 Single Player Demo... They'd lose too much money.

A very smart tactic Bungie/Microsoft could be doing, is called, Impulse decisions. If they just said, Hey guys, Halo 2 is coming out, November 9th, people would be like "I CAN'T WAIT!" but then two seconds later, they hold the game in front of their face andsmile at them, the person would just take it, immediately, impulse desicion. It would make them so much money... They could be diong that. Personally, I'd rather it came out the 9th, so i could skip school... :Þ

It's not just any game footage Bungie chooses. It has to be the the worst of the worst footage the game has to offer (as in violent, not sucky). Then three trained men (I believe) will watch the demo, and give it am accurate rating on what they saw.
