So why the hell do you need armor? Why don't you run aroud naked with a little shield pack. Would fulfill the same purpose right? Maybe, just maybe the call "armor" armor for a reason.

I don't want to see the Master Chiefs A$$.........do you?!?

Maybe,

it might help to scare off some Brutes and stuff :)

Ok fine... but whatever the fact is... its just stupid.

His armour sucks now... and I thought when stuff goes from Mark V to Mark VI its suposed to be an improvement. All that armour does is make a good shield and look cool.

What's stupid is getting half fragged to death then walking over a little white pack with a cross on it to make everything all better again...imo

Yeah, health packs were cheap, but I think Health SHOULD be there, just not health packs, that'd make it alot better than no health and no health packs, Bungie should just take out health packs and leave it at that.

I could deal with that.
Maybe give the armor some type of damage gauge as well like some others have said like Maj Vasily...

I agree. If someone dualwields a plasma pistol and and SMG, you would be dead. (2-3 bullets... With every weapon?)

I guess it's true what they say people are afraid of change. This is a great idea and NO ONE who played at e3 complained about it.

O.K., so it's you again (or was this your first post? im not sure, i dont care either) Okay, 1. That was just the e3 build, it hasn't been confirmed that this is going to be the final set up. 2. Did you forget to read the part where it said your shield is stronger? If this is true, one shot from the plasma pistol probably won't take it out... and 3. QUIT YOUR -blam!-IN' AND GET BACK IN DA KITCHEN!

I dont really care about health. All i care about it have fun and killing some -blam!-es. And plus i didnt evan use health packs because i would be to buessy trying to get my killz. So to me i dont give a -blam!- about it. And i know whatever bungie does it will kick ass

Actually I knew all of those things... except for the -blam!-in kichen part.

I just think its retarded that the MC gets his new pimped out suit, and he gets no health.

no health is more streamlined.. also its more realistic.. rather than losing your sheilds and still say i can take that elite cuz im at full health.. you rethink and say.. err better let my shields charge

just better that way

welll ummm if you just got shields ... more realistic and yea realistic equals better and faster multiplayer so quit B!tchin and ummmm deal with it ... and on sp just be more sneakier and wonder ..... MC is way more stronger in brute strentgh then jackeals or grunts and phluk you will probably have ODST's with ya ... (maybe ) so it will be a much more greater game ..... and if you dont like then ....... then keep on playing halo and DONT buy halo 2

While I'd point out that technically it makes more sense that, after your shields are gone, if you're shot you're gone...

I'm going to have to point out that that WAS the E3'04 build they played, and that it has, in fact, been mentioned that the interface was not final, it was also mentioned that you didn't die as soon as your shields ran out. You have health, you're essentially not sure on what it is.

Even so, you don't have to play the game, Aristotle. I don't see what you hope to accomplish by reading someone's recollection of playing the demo and then berating the game for it.

All I know is that if it ain't broke, don't fix it. I never heard people complain about having too much health in the first game...

I think there should definitely be health that dissipates after a headshot or a couple torso shots, but if I had it my way Halo 2's damage model would be a lot more complicated than the first one's. Basically, you have a shield that absorbs all damage equally no matter where you are hit and that recharges like it does now. But, once your shields are down you'd be open to attack in seven distinct regions; the right arm, left arm, right leg, left leg, head, torso, and back. The armor on your torso would be strongest, taking about six direct hits from a plasma rifle, but if you lose your armor here one shot will kill you. Your back would be exactly the same. The head armor would take about two and a half plasna rifle bolts, and after it is destroyed you lose your HUD and underwater breating capability and one shot there kills you. The arms would each take about four plasma rifle hits to crack - after that, hitting the left arm prevents the target from throwing grenades and hitting the right arm forces him to drop his weapon. The legs would each take five and a half plasma rifle bolts. Being shot in one without the armor will mangle the leg, slowing you down considerably, and if both legs are taken out you will be forced to move in the crouched position and grenade throwing will be seriously impeded as you will only be able to put your arm into it. SPARTAN-IIs fight to the death.

I don't think anyone should judge a game by what they see. You have to play it to get the true experience. And if bungie did a great job at halo I trust they will make another kick butt game in halo 2. So I'm not going to say anything about the change or if it will change. Some one said if it isn’t broke don't fix it. I say if it will add change and a new experience then I’m all for it. I just don't want some game to come out with a 2 on it and no change I want something different. So if halo changes people who are god on halo one will even have to adjust to the game. I have all my trust in bungie to make a great game.

Yeah, but its realistic, in real life, if you were shot in the face multiple times with plasma fire you would die.
