on page 30 of the august issue of XBN (with the pariah cover story)!!!! It's under the "trendspotting" section, and at the top it reads:
"Co-op
Xbox promotional materials claim it's good to play together, and we're inclined to agree. Pandora Tomorrow, Metal Slug 3, and Rainbow Six 3 let you get your game on with a pal, next up, X-Men Legends, Doom 3, and HALO 2."
Some other goodies from the same mag(pg. 74):
"Months of anticipation culminated last issue in our HALO 2 multiplayer hands on report from the E3 show floor. Dual Wielding weapons, new vehicles, running amok on Zanzibar - everything indicates that the game is shaping up to be a real Playstation 2 killer. Now with less than 150 days before the game seals the Xbox Live deal, Bungie has locked down the features list and is now focused on finished and polishing Halo 2. Here's what the team's been up to since E3:
-Just implemented is Halo 2's "proximity voice" feature, which allows you to talk to your enemies if you're within earshot in the gtame. Imagine creeping up on an enemy, whispering a sweet good-bye in his ear before putting a shotgun to his head. ***(this we knew)***
-If you thought Halo's A.I friendlies had personality galore, wait until you experience halo 2's 6000 unique lines of combat dialogue ***(Frankie says 15000... I think XBN is referring to only friendlies)***
-Now, the game will keep track of damage and kill types, so everyone will know exactly how Jimmy took you down with twin needle guns. ***(This has been speculated on these and other boards but I'm not sure if it was confirmed before now)***
-Bungie has officially denied the existence of the rumored Halo handheld game on the Game Boy Advance ***(who cares?)***
I think I remember finding some little snippets when I scoured the mag on the plane a week ago and if I find any more I'll let you guys know.
