I have to throw in my two cents about this.
I've been reading about this whole demo issue on all the other H-2 sites that I could find, and there are some that make good points. Microsoft and Bungie both know that all of us Halo 2 fans will buy the game regardless of a demo or not. If one was to be released it wouldn't be for the sake of the fans, it would be to try and attract all the people that may not have enjoyed the original Halo, or just don't get into first person shooters period. If it were put onto a demo disc by OXM or whoever then someone would just about have to try it out just to see what all the noise is about. Then, if that person thought, "WOW!, this game rocks." Bungie would have one more unit sold. Secondly, when the first Halo shipped it spurred thousands, if not millions of people to buy an Xbox (I know it did me.) Should they create a demo for H-2 It would be so that they can repeat history all over again, and spurr another million or so poeple to buy an Xbox. Sounds like a perfect way to jump sales over the PS2 to me. In the end though, should they release a demo, it would be for the sole purpose of getting the rest of the Xbox owners hyped up about Halo 2, instead of just the ones who are already fans.
