With B.B. gone, the passion of Bungie.net has lessened.
343- "We have followed outbreak containment to the letter. You were with me each step of the way as we managed this crisis."
Cortana-"Chief, I'm picking up movement!"
343-"How could you hesitate to do what you have already done?"
Cortana-"Chief, we need to go. Right. Now"
343-"Last time you asked me, if it were my choice, would I do it? Having had considerable time to ponder your query, my answer has not changed. We must activate the ring. Give your construct to me, or I will be forced to take her from you."
Chief- "Thats not going to happen."
343- "So be it. Save his head.... dispose of the rest."
-My favorite cutscene with awesome conversation.
Also, 343 says a line in the Maw: "Give your construct to me, or I will be forced to take you offline permanantly."
In the HBO database, I think they have it listed as, "Give your construct to me, or I will be forced to take it offline permanently." Now, when I hear it, he says "you," instead of "it." I've listened to it over and over, and I still hear "you." That means, to me, he's refering to the Chief, since thats the only person he was talking to.... This must just mean that he thinks of death as a machine dies... it goes "offline." I know that 343 knows that Chief is biological, since he says "your biological form renders you.... vulnerable to infection." Or am I just hearing things? If I'm not hearing things, perhaps an alternative meaning would be that 343 Guilty Spark knows that the Chief is a cyborg, and thinks of him as part machine (although he's not really part machine (I think this because of how the augmentations were described... but maybe they left out some stuff) since he's not the stereotypical cyborg).... any thoughts?
Sorry for going a little bit off topic, but I feel that it fits, as long as we're talking about quotes.
