Alright, this has gone on long enough and I honestly have more important things to do than to fight over a price for a video game.
Compare ODST to any Halo game, and of course it's considered a flop. It's campaign is short, it lacks a PvP game mode, and it was over hyped. Halo is a huge game, and people have huge expectations for it.
But compare it to Bioschock, Mirrors Edge, and any other game with only a Campaign and Campaign Based game mode, and it'll stand up pretty damn well.
And guess what? All those games were $60 too. Why do you insist on claiming that ODST on it's own isn't worth $60?
If this were the case, then every game without matchmaking would cost $40.
That BS arguement won't work with me, are you saying that the price of this game is acceptable because there are worse games out there? That's like saying America should stop working on new technology because other countries are behind us. This is a Bungie game so I would expect them to deliver a quality game at a fair price. I don't buy many other games because I know they are a rip off also. Two wrongs do not make a right, so ODST can still be blamed, this is an ODST forum, not a Mirrors Edge forum, or any other forum. I will discuss ODST here, whether it be positive or negative, that's what a forum is for. And this topic is to help those whom feel ripped off, if you enjoyed your puchase that's great, you're choosing to argue here and really just wasting your time.
Why not?
Those were both amazing games. Everybody loved them, and no one complained about the price. Their legends for their uniqueness, and people enjoyed them.
ODST is just as good as those are, but since Halo is thrown into the title, people expected it to have multiplayer, a 10 hour long campaign, and totally new game modes. Since this was not the case, everyone claimed that they got ripped off and it was over priced, which is not the case.
I admit that Bungie didn't do the best of all jobs with ODST. But just because it didn't live up to your expectations doesn't mean that it's over priced. It was an amazing game none the less, and I, along with many others, enjoyed it. I was not ripped off in the least bit, and neither were you. ODST could of sold at $60 by it's self, be glad that you got the Mythic Map Pack pt. 2 thrown in there for free.
And that concludes my argument.
