. The fact of the matter is some people had to re-buy the same content they had already bought before, and they're not happy about it.

Nedus.

I bought the special edition. In my eyes I paid $60 for a special controller, $30 bucks for a brand new game with a new multiplayer game type Firefight and a $10 re-issue of all the maps, I already bought, on a separate disc that allowed me to free up a lot of hard drive space. That is right I paid $100 for it. I knew ahead of time that these were the features I was getting. I was and am still excited I got more than I bargained for. I don't feel that $10 for a consolidated and faster loading Halo 3 matchmaking was anything close to a rip off.

Camnator continues to spout off on what to me at least, seems like a holy crusade against ODST's Mythic disc. He arrogantly speaks for others and for Bungie. And he never has any other argument than his personal opinion. He can't use facts when his own emotions cloud his judgment. He is entitled to his opinion, but really how long do those of use who feel we didn't get ripped have to stand for this abuse.

If we like it he concedes for a second, then goes right back to his offensive. Eluding to the fact that everyone got ripped off weather we know it or not and that we never see his point. When we use the exact same tactic in defense of our opinions that he uses to defend himself, he says we don't know what we are talking about.

Camnator is mad that he felt ripped off. Sucks to be him in all retrospect. He claims to be a fan yet bashes this aspect of what he loves to the point of hatred. How is that a fan? That is like going to the super bowl and whining about not getting front row tickets when you pay for nosebleed seating. Never mind how the game went, he is mad at the super bowl for ripping him off.

I always felt a real fan takes the bad and the good and sees the best out of all of it. Not whine like a child about one aspect they didn't like to the point of stupidity.

I don't feel sorry for him.

He then creates this thread to say that he has a way to sell off the mythic disc for those who felt ripped off. In the end he is showing a way to rip someone else off because his beliefs carry over. Sure the person on the other end may be just like myself and be happy that they get the disc at all regardless of what they might pay, but to flaunt it here in these forums as a way to get back something that is a buyer beware to begin with is just plain hypocritical. He is not above taking money for his rip off.

His only justification for being ripped off is his opinion. He spouts it off like he is holier then thou and expects reparations. Not everyone got ripped off and 4 months later those of us that are here on these forums still play the same game that he claims is a rip off. If it was a rip off to any of us I would think we wouldn't be here..... He is preaching to a brick wall.

And to anyone else who feels they got ripped off and still play the game your a hypocrite. It is obvious you got your value out of 4 months of playing and still enjoy it, if you are still playing.

So please SHUT UP, stop whining and find something constructive to do with your time instead of insulting the intelligence of those of us who felt we got what we paid for.

Camnator,

Why don't you quote my full quotes instead of picking them apart?

You going on and on is answered by the fact your still here writing about this same subject of you getting ripped off. It has been four + months.

Your Ice cream analogy is moot, because you don't just buy the Ice cream and eat it. You complain about it after the fact. That is what makes you a hypocrite. The fact you say you enjoy it makes it worse when you spout off with, " people like me paid too much."

You're paying for expensive Ice cream is not what I am talking about. It is the fact you whine about the price after you have already eaten it and said it was tasty. Then go on some rampage to get others to join your cause.

You invade other threads and force your opinions down the posters throats. You believe you paid to much. Some may agree with you. But, to assume that you may speak for them is arrogance with out measure. Even if you have the same opinion as they might.

You spout off you use facts, what facts? Every post you write is your opinion or rather someone else's you attempt to use as an example to strengthen your own. Because a few others share those thoughts you think you have a force to back you.

And if you really felt sorry for ripping that guy off you would not have accepted the money. However, you did. So explain what that really makes you.

You claim being naive yet you preach that this is a solution people should use. I see simple arrogance and the assumption you know more than the reader here.

You come here and try to convince others that you have a solution to a problem that most of the people here don't seem to have.

I don't presume to speak for anyone else here, but many share my feelings about not being ripped off. At least I give credit. And I backed my opinions with my perceived value from each part of the product. Not someone else's.

You live in a country that allows you to sit and play video games as long and as much as you like with no fear of anything but your bed time, yet have the nerve to whine about paying too much for a piece of entertainment. Just who do you think you are? What gives you the right to think you can demand entertainment in the real world? You should feel lucky you have what you do and leave it at that.

I post in your thread because you just don't get it.

LOL

what a hilarious thread. The op starts off with spouting about injustice over paying for a game knowing full well what it contained and rounds off 12 pages by getting into patriotism in America.

Then I realized what this was really about.

OP does not have recon.

What? I do have Recon. I choose not to wear it because I prefer the armor I have now. I'm sorry, but I'm reporting that post, what you said is so foolishly irrelevant, I have to question your sanity.

To play or not to play....

My problem is he isn't arguing about those features of the game. If he was, he might have a point because of lack of knowlege on this features could be a legitamate reason, seeing as how bungie seems to be so secretive about information.

But he is arguing about the mythic disc shouldn't have been included because that made it a rip-off. The game would probably have sold for $60 with or without the mythic disc, so how is including it a rip-off.

You missed my point. I used those as an example. The fact that you think it could have sold at $60 without the Mythic disc is a moot point because you don't know that for sure, and it doesn't change the fact that the Mythic disc is still there. The fact of the matter is some people had to re-buy the same content they had already bought before, and they're not happy about it.

I would have purchased it without the Mythic disk included. The disk is considered an extra addition to the game not to the game PRICE.

I can see your logic though hmmmm I hate being able to see both sides of an arguement sometimes LOL. Makes it hard to take sides.

To play or not to play....

camnator I honestly can see, partially, where you are coming from. However I think most of your problem is perception. You are percieving the Mythic Disk as being an extra charge on top of what was going to be charged for the game. This is simply NOT TRUE.

MS dictated the pricing terms to Bungie. Bungie wanted to release the game for around $40 or so. But MS said no, no, no charge $60. Bungie had no real choice. They could have said no to MS but believe me it would not be the best thing for them to have done. The amount of trouble it would have caused would have been far and wide not been worth it.

Bungie was happy to charge around $40 for ODST and release the last three Mythic maps for around $15 as a seperate and unique product. Much like the other Mythic maps were released.

I was suprised to see that the Mythic maps were not sold seperately and I do agree that they SHOULD be.

However to say you paid for them as an additional cost is wrong. ODST was going to be sold "as is" for $60 with no extras at all. MS pretty much force the issue. Bungie then turned around and said ok but lets sweeten the deal by including the MYthic maps. Bungie went further to include all of the Mythic maps. Bungie argued that $60 was too much and many fans would not pay so much for the game. So they sweetened the deal a bit.

So now the price of ODST was still $60 but it included the Mythic maps. Now with the maps included the price remained the same $60. No price increase means you do not pay anything for the Mythic maps.

While you may feel you were forced to purchase the Mythic maps you already had in reality you didn't pay a cent for them. They were FREE with ODST not ODST free with the Mythic maps.

$60 is not even all that high a price for what you got in the game. All new release games sell for at least that price.
