Well now that halo has a new lighting engine.........NVM ill get back to that in a sec but has anyone played riddick it had a lighting enginge but the shadows were really dark I mean really dark every time you looked down all you could see was black and this was even outsdie midday and it was suposed to be a shadow it was also really bothersome cause even your gun had a shadow on it......which was black......NOW back to halo 2 so now it has a the new lighting engine will the shadows will be dark like black so you cant see in the shadows.

what do you guys think?

No, they will be nothing like that. I like the way Bungie does the dark places in the out side like in the New Mombasa E3 video. I think indoors a dark place will be very dark compared to outside. That is a true lighting engine though, it deals with effects around a space, not just all black in one spot.

Yeah, having a black shadow makes no sense. Light doesn't work that way. I also would like to see more rim shading, which I think would be awesome.
