Well now that halo has a new lighting engine.........NVM ill get back to that in a sec but has anyone played riddick it had a lighting enginge but the shadows were really dark I mean really dark every time you looked down all you could see was black and this was even outsdie midday and it was suposed to be a shadow it was also really bothersome cause even your gun had a shadow on it......which was black......NOW back to halo 2 so now it has a the new lighting engine will the shadows will be dark like black so you cant see in the shadows.what do you guys think?

No, they will be nothing like that. I like the way Bungie does the dark places in the out side like in the New Mombasa E3 video. I think indoors a dark place will be very dark compared to outside. That is a true lighting engine though, it deals with effects around a space, not just all black in one spot.[Edited on 7/29/2004 1:40:13 AM]
Yeah, having a black shadow makes no sense. Light doesn't work that way. I also would like to see more rim shading, which I think would be awesome.
